As an American who has heavily supported all countries stock and routes I find the comments about using an American loco and route rather insulting.

It seems reasonably obvious from the style of the marketing ( even down to the fonts ) that the current focus is the US... good! more variety for everyone. I can't decide which combination of words to describe ignorant insularity is least likely to get me banned, so I'll leave it there I think.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

I think the US is only the start. There is a whole World out there to reach eventually.

Good afternoon Bill
For what it's worth I actually like the American Locos and I have a particular favourite in the SD40's
Kind regards Stephen

Believe it or not, the world doesn't end at Dover. Many people, myself included, are interested in the railways of other countries. Why be restricted to the UK?

Best wishes,

No it doesn't it ends just west of the Severn Bridge. For everyones information about my comment, particularly those trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
I was into US railroads back in 2001, when i had a US copy of MSTS long before it was available in the UK.
RSC being a UK based company, i would have expected a UK loco and route depicted in their first preview video.
Particularly as a huge segment of the US trainsim fraternity have stuck with MSTS, as easily witnessed by postings at ts.com forums and files on their download library.
I also probably own more US payware for MSTS, than anyone on this forum is even aware exists.
Plus a sizeable chunk of US DLC and third party payware for RW.

Maybe a US loco was used for that demo because some UK people would rather [Moderator Comment: ashgray - unacceptable content - not in front of the children please!] over the loco and not notice the effects being demonstrated?

Completely agree with AC and Theokus and everyone else who believes more is merrier. As a Canadian I'd love to see some steam-era out of the ancient Montreal Locomotive works, and CPRail stuff, but routes and scenarios I can build (and hopefully share). But I have fallen hard for the world of trains, love the UK and German routes and machinery, would love to see some French, Italian, Spanish and Greek rail, eastern Europe...you get the picture. What I REALLY need is more hours in the 24hr clock!

Kind regards,
Leaf85 (Dave)

Doesn't matter at all. I think it was pretty cool to demostrate with the American stock as always has intrested me. Also most likely will use the routes again when the lighting & moutains have been fixxed.

Also good things come to those who wait, so we are bound to see German, UK or more American stock featuring the new effects.

Rising Storm -Name is in the credits :D - To Do scenario, where you go along at 50mph in a Pendo? Who would play it?

the HST and the ES44 had the wiper effect (as does the 390)
We picked the ES44 as many tests being carried out were using the Cajon pass route.

The lights randomly enough were being set up and tested on the F7 (and the 390).
The 390 is not core so we did not use that for example movies.

Over the coming weeks all core locos will be set up with both (and more besides) were need be.
Still lots to do, but it's great to see it evolve.

cheers

So it looks like the 390 might be one of the first DLC EMU's to get the new features added....
