And as counterpoint, part of the entertainment for *me* is figuring out what went wrong and how they could have done it better. That's *after* splitting my sides laughing at the show itself. :D

You should have plenty of opportunities to do that. The day they create something genuinely good will mean the end of the series!

Did Murray Brown really sign up for that? His editorial in next month's Rail Express should make interesting reading! :lol:

The TGV12 and the train of caravans certainly made for an odd sight. I can imagine someone crossing the line on an overbridge and catching the briefest of glimpses of those bizarre vehicles, then getting strange looks as they tried to describe what they'd seen to someone later in the day. The ride in the Jag at the beginning of the film looked like it was a lot of fun. I've always wanted to try it ever since seeing James Bond tearing up the Nene Valley Railway in 'Octopussy'. No way would you have got me in either of the later contraptions. Wouldn't mind seeing a head-on view of the Peak smashing the caravan though!
