Looks lovely from the screenshots. Wonder if the default routes have been tweaked for the new release, as I can think of one place on Newcastle-York that had noticeable superelevation for starters - the Severus Curve at the north end of York - http://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diese ... 700166311/ I won't mention the semaphores in the Yard

I wonder when a revision of the system specs is coming? It sure would be nice for it to go over to a Core 2 Duo minimum spec so the platform is not being held back by Pentium compatibility. Of course this would only be good if those with older machines were given some method of freezing their installation at RW2 while still allowing for them installing TS2012 if they get a new machine.

This should make the WCML update to include TS2012 features worth waiting for!

Is launching the announcement on Bastille Day a clue that an LGV is the bonus route? :P

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned (I'm not on FB) -- Is there multi-core processor support in this update?

Woohoo! Loving what I'm seeing, especially the super-elevation! Already wondering how that's going to be "managed" in the world editor, hehe 8)

Thanks RSC!

What makes you think that? They are starting a upgrade to new TSX technology program immediately after RW3 is released, I would also think that they have taken into mind current DLC available, considering they have made it all backwards compatible, which they didn't have to choose to do.

What I would like to know is, which isn't particularly covered in the FAQ is weather or not the new engine/code will be utilising multi-core technology, graphically its obvious that the new engine is using some of the newer innovations in graphics technology but I can't see multi-core from pictures unfortunately

Also another big thing, could we be told weather or not the file struture of folders has been changed to accomodate the new technology?

Looks excellent. Also very looking forward to seeing it in action.

Also a massive thank you for the continued support. Also reading the FAQ the new route will be DLC for exsisting/ Upgrading users any idea so far how much it would be?
Also looking forward to the New UK Locomotive, Hopefully Electric or somthing more suiting the S&DJR.

Chris

Can't log into the new site or FB from work (net nanny) but from what I'm reading here it certainly sounds good to me.

Only caveat is it probably means holding off on starting any more route construction until the new version is here and bedded in, so it can be done with the new tools, superelevation etc.

Has anything been said or observed re additional terrain textures?

Free of charge is very generous, I would not have objected to this being a mid-price paid upgrade so kudos to RSC on that decision.

Choice of name is a bit odd though - does that not clash with N3V's TS12 (latest Trainz version)?

Good news but a bit scary. I just hope my RailDriver will still work.
