Re: Major announcement
I think the announcement will be the announcement of the past announcements that will be delayed to the next year, so you need to wait just one more year

Re: Major announcement
Those of a more biscuit-minded bent might be interested to note that whilst on a train into Manchester this morning, I was making careful observations of the McVities WW1-vintage biscuit factory at Levenshulme, with a view to modeling it amongst the various lineside buildings for the Hazel Grove to Manchester route that I'm currently working on. Thus I certainly hope that any update to Railworks includes the ability to add lineside smells, because as anyone who has ever been on the train past there will know, the air is filled with a Jaffa Cake-tastic aroma as you trundle past.

Re: Major announcement
They would have to fix the many efficiency problems *first* before doing that. The iPhone, while very nice, has nowhere near the power or space of a desktop computer.

Re: Major announcement
If anyone ever models Doncaster for RW, will it include the glue factory adjacent to the north-end junctions? Certainly some 'interesting' smells thereChock wrote:Thus I certainly hope that any update to Railworks includes the ability to add lineside smells, because as anyone who has ever been on the train past there will know, the air is filled with a Jaffa Cake-tastic aroma as you trundle past.

Don't think there is any "glue-i-ness" going on but we do have Doncaster.passedcleaner wrote:

I was always under the impression DeMulders was an abattoir? That's the way it smells on summer days anyway.passedcleaner wrote:If anyone ever models Doncaster for RW, will it include the glue factory adjacent to the north-end junctions? Yes, and where you you think glue comes from? (Traditionally, anyway.)
Still not something I'd want to live near.

Glue Factory = Abattoir
