Lol that's a good one!! Can you imagine the French or Germans giving a major railway production contract to England?? Never in a zillion years. Utterly disgraceful move by the government out to cut costs again, only short sighted because now for getting a cheaper deal for the trains they'll now have to pay unemployment benefits to 1,500 Derbymen instead!! A bit like their plans to make everyone work until they are 386 or until they die. Great at solving the pensions crisis but then if nobody ever retires then it creates an unemployment crisis at the other end as there will be no jobs for young people if the oldies never stand down.

Bunch of short-sighted cost saving lunatics the lot of them.

Rant over!!!

I wonder why this is in the Railworks section rather than Site News... :-?

Because its probably something to do with Railworks and not the site or forums, either a pack, route or something completely related to Railworks which doesn't include the prior.

Friday at 8pm-ish. It does sound very Steam like. Probably won't be though.

I don't think it's to do with RSC otherwise why would Jim be finishing preparations?

My guess, a new one click moderator system to cope with the fallout of the new update
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Or a Black Ops unit of tactically inserted tea trolly ladies with armour piercing biscuits for good measure.

My guess, a new one click moderator system to cope with the fallout of the new update
a) Send message to moderator
b) Moderator bins it
c) Sends back message that customer feedback is very important and your problem is being looked into
d) Moderator goes back to G & T and TV

Modelled on just about every helpline in the World today :D

Just kidding of course. UKTS moderators are second to none.

'Something big is coming to a forum near you...'
Not to the download section.
To the Forum.
Some sort of Message? Perhaps not, the heading says 'something brand new'...
Something to enhance the forum? A new facility?
Perhaps not necessarily to do with RW itself? Something to do with the Forum itself, or the UKTS site itself?
Will the users of other train sims also benefit from this something new?
Hmm...
Still thinking...

Surely it wouldn't be dedicated to the RW section though. I guess that is what is making people wonder.

Digging deeper, from what I have heard, it is a voucher for United Biscuits should you buy any future RW addon or a premium subscription for UKTS. Cannot confirm this though.

Some really great guesses people and I love the banter.

Keep it coming :)
