I've been spending the pennies as well, ICE 1, Modern Fast Trains and German Freight traffic, I also echo the earlier comment about needing a decent German Mainline route now to run the ICE and 120 along, Hagen-Siegen is too sedate for me and misses the hustle and bustle you seem to get around major stations like Koln and Hamburg.

Head on over to rail-sim.de and download the excellent Geislinger Steige from Munchen to Stuttgart, you can have a 200kmh blast with the ICE and 120 on that. :) It is for RS but it will work in RW's.

Hi, how are frame rates on the Munich/Stuttgart route?

Frame rates are pretty good as scenery whilst extensive has been cleverly limited in depth without losing the immersion factor.

No issues in running at high speed. Do not really get any stutters in Munich or Stuttgart.

Be warned - Munich is a real nightmare to navigate being huge! (for all the right reasons)

Sounds good, been looking for a good European route since migrating to the mainland for the summer, thanks :)

Assume you have also considered Northern Europe which is even bigger with lots of high speed sections plus non electrified and loads of yards.

Any type of scenario is possible.

Having a lovely run with the ICE out of Koebenhagen heading for Germany at a nice steady 160 kph. Route is better than Hagen Seigen for this train as it can stretch it's legs a bit.

Great to have something like ABF to try out - something we have not really seen elsewhere. Well worth the money for me.

Thanks Chris, I do have Northern Europe, but unfortunately it is now impossible for me to run it :(

Yes I have to run N Europe and Stuttgart to Munich in a completely separate install. Once there they both run very well. Have you tried that?

Framerates very good (at least without lots of AI so far).
