Re: German Railroads new release and sale
Hmm. It's still 20€ for the ICE1. I'm sorely tempted to buy everything but the ICE

Holding off on the ICE, guess it'll appear on Steam at some point...

Now the proud owner of Modern Fast Trains, German Freight Traffic, and Classic German Electric Locos. Tempted by a couple of others, but they'll have to wait until the next time.
Re: German Railroads new release and sale
Hmm... Don't know if I did something wrong in the order process, but are you supposed to get a separate e-mail with a registration code, or is the registration code the same as the order number? Because I cannot find a registration code anywhere in any of the confirmation e-mails from German Railroads, but both installers clearly call for them...
Re: German Railroads new release and sale
One question about ordering from their site: how did you get payment to work? My bank won't do the foreign bank transfer (which their website insists on for first time purchasers).

Paypal worked fine for me (from Norway). Haven't tried the credit card ordering.alexnick wrote:One question about ordering from their site: how did you get payment to work? My bank won't do the foreign bank transfer (which their website insists on for first time purchasers).

That's annoying. I think I have to place a second order with them! (I've managed to order with the wrong payment method - time to e-mail support!)

Re: German Railroads new release and sale
I have ordered from them since their first MSTS route and I have always found them to be very helpful with support. Used paypal myself, bank trnsfer from the uK to europe is a definate rip-off.. Only had a quick run of the 120 & 118, but nice
. Just need those routes now.

Re: German Railroads new release and sale
Hi I'm the same Holzroller , purchased MSTS routes and stock from German Railroads for over two years since I first discovered them, then when I made the switch to RW2 I was pleased to see that German Railroads were producing models to the same high standard for RWs. I've always paid with Paypal since my first purchase and never encountered any problems with this method. It's my birthday today so I'll be treating myself to the Ice 1 and the Modern Fast trains pack as I've already got the BR 118 and BR 143 packs.

Yes GR train models are visually very good. But sounds and physics have been very weak for long time. Now with ICE-1 things start to change. ICE is really well done, the best product they've ever produced. Beautiful model with very acceptable soundset and AFB is working pretty well. Only problem that there's no route to run this beautiful train model. Siegen-Hagen is more like branch-line today. Sound patches for other train packs are very welcome. They are not perfect but at least things are moving.loverswalk wrote:... then when I made the switch to RW2 I was pleased to see that German Railroads were producing models to the same high standard for RWs.

Well, I must say that their customer services are wonderful. They were quick to sort out my problem, and very friendly about it.
I didn't try writing to them in English though...

Re: German Railroads new release and sale
Well I bought the ICE 1 and the fast trains models and have to say the Ice is a beaut. Got some nice features too and lovely passenger views, haven't tried the 120 yet. I used PayPal which was nice and easy.
Best Regards
