Times change, things progress. Mike's original release came at a time when we'd gone a very long time without anything new, not least something from a third-party developer. As such, it was welcomed by me as someone with a passion for early British diesel fare and a certain fondness for the original having seen them working in their twilight years.

Moreover, I'm sure it helped Mike out a lot in so far as learning about developing for RW. I view my payment for the original as an investment in the future of RW :)

Good to see a its gone free considering how long it has been out.

Hope people enjoy the loco & sounds will keep you busy until the 50 is ready :D

Hopefully aswell with Mikes permission I may revamp the textures and the tweak the original sounds I made when it came out to be part of the UKTS Freeware Pack #5

However, the manual isn't in the archive Class24.rar

Does anyone have the manual ?

Interesting, I have a class24.zip, Class24free.rar & Class24v1.1.zip but no class24.rar, Only the original class 24.zip had a seperate manual in it. Not sure whether it's ok to put up here but I could send a copy to Jim (nobkins) to add to the freeware pack if that is ok with both Mike and Jim

Thanks Mike
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Wouldn't the easiest thing be to send it to Mike so he could put it in the .rwp he has on the Meshtools site?

Easier to put it in the .rwp inside the .rar, that way it gets installed/uninstalled with the loco itself, no need to copy it manually

 Click to view more informationMeshtools Cl24 Readme.PDF [1685441 bytes] - readme.pdf
File ID: 29097 Date: 03 Jun 2012 - 230 Downloads
& no it wouldn't be easier to put in the original as it would mean redownloading the whole loco & it also available in the freeware packs.
