I bought this when it was released and it was worth every penny.
Good luck to those who get it for free, nice gesture Mike.

I bought it when it came out, and have very much enjoyed it ever since. Nice gesture, and looking forward to the 50 and whatever you have planned

Re: Class 24, Congratulations!
I've paid 5 pounds or so about a year ago for it, and while I don't really regret it, I've barely used it because there were so few scenarios for it around. Hopefully this will change now, so thank you Meshtools
It is not "the best" loco around, but it is a good, substainable model with cute sounds and a nice addition to the RW library.

Thanks for the surprise Mike.
Never seen one of those in the flesh but I do like the sound it makes sitting in the siding burbling away to itself.

Re: Class 24, Congratulations!
It's interesting to see that everyone, so far, who has actually bought the CL24 loco is congratulating Mike for now releasing it as Freeware. I, too, paid good money for this loco and yet I, too, am very pleased to see it available now as Freeware. Anything that increases the "core" of Railworks is to be applauded. Well done Mike
And, as has already been said, let's hope that this forward looking view is picked up and copied by the other manufacturers as well

Re: Class 24, Congratulations!
Yes, I would like to add my thanks to Mike for making this available to us free of charge.
I must admit that I would not have bought it as I am still with RS and I am wary of buying anything that might not work in RS now that things have advanced so far, but this model does work very satisfactorily in RS in intermediate mode (I don't use expert mode at all).
The only disadvantage in RS is that in the cab it is just like looking through a very grimy windscreen! But it will do very nicely for AI traffic, and the green ones will do very nicely for driving my weed killer train (three dirty yellow tanks, a grimy yellow BG and three filthy yellow standard vans - based on a photo of an Irish weed killer train in the 1980s!).
Much appreciated.
regards Ted.
