Re: Class 67 Formations....
I have also seen 67s used on steam rail charters, usually the tailing engine but in the odd occasion where loco's have suffered from brake problems, 67's sit behind the engine pulling the charter

Additionally, regular freight turns.
CLass 67's normally work 6D01/7X01, the Derby Litchurch Lane - Crewe IEMD Class 379 unit move.
Also, they do Heaton/Neville Hill - Craigentinney HST Power Car or HST stock moves.

Not rare down here . 67s Usually work the Telford MoD "Class 508" Workings , and back in 2010 the 67s were almost "an Everyday Train" , Wrexham and shropshiremsey0002 wrote:Hi Tom, they still use the 67s on occasions, and it's not too rare either

Could well have been the Cardiff - Paignton train. Saw it regularly last year, top and tailed by 67's usually in different liveries and maroon and blue'grey mk2's.TheTazman wrote:There is one that runs through cardiff i saw a few months ago. It still had the old inter city coaches and colours on it. It looked cool.
variety being the spice of life it made a nice change from the usual HST's Voyagers and FGW DMU's.

PS: They do make strange noises when sat idling. Anyone else noticed this/tell me why?
