If I remember correctly, RSDL started out as two men and a dog.

Great to see such a big team now even though the dog has gone :D

You cannot achieve so much without an enthusiastic team and with the likes of Derek, Adam, Tim and Paul (who is ,if the rumours are correct the most enthusiastic of them all) to name a few, how can RailSimulator.com go wrong :D

It is all very exciting .. I need a lie down :o

I see Freeware Developers don't seem get a specific mention in dispatches.
Kind regards James.

True - but then nor do the beta testers who I assume are from the user base; nor do the community site and forum owners; nor do Steam; nor do the biscuit manufacturers. Where do you draw the line? Paul is rightly proud of his team, clearly they have had a very successful awayday (wouldn't you love to see what was written on the flipcharts and whiteboards??) and I think it's only fair to celebrate his team's success and their way forward.

I thank RSC for sticking with it and not giving in despite any misgivings some in the community may have had. Well done on getting to the grand old age of 2! :bday:

I take your point Paul. I to celebrate the success of RCS because without it I would not have experienced the pleasure of being able to Develop Freeware. Paul has every reason to be proud of his Team and where they have got to. They seem however IMHO to have forgotten the people at the start when Rail Simulator was in it's infancy who produced a load of Freeware to fill in the content not yet provided by RSDL as they where then, without whom the Product may not have taken off as it did. I appreciated that drawing a line can sometimes be quite difficult

There are many unsung heros and villians who have helped us along the way, I've crossed paths and swords with most of them.
:)

So, for those of you who feel you were not thanked, thank you for choosing to spend your time in RWs and and sharing it with other like minded people.

The good news is I think you will enjoy it a whole lot more soon.

best regards

Derek

Thank you Derek for your comment. I am sure that many will be happy to read it. I have no doubt I will not be considered as one of the Heroes. :D
If I where a Biscuit manufacturer I would only expect thanks if I supplied you with as many Biscuits as you could eat free of charge week in week out.
I am sure I will continue to enjoy Railworks far into the future.

James, whether you provide a freeware scenario or a 616 mile freeware route, you are a hero, its for the community and done in your time.

Thank you for your comment Darren. I am sure a lot of people will be pleased to read it as you are both a Payware and Freeware Developer and have been on both sides of the Fence. I was referring more to the fact that I have crossed Swords with Derek on several occasions in the past. I am however a Grumpy Old Man and that is what Grumpy Old Men tend to do. :D
Kind regards James.
