Yes, I thought that too, there were a lot of questions to answer... 8)

I think that some of the questions were combined together as they were similar. Also please remember that no promise was made to answer every question that was asked. RS.com have answered those they wish to for the moment. They may answer more and this process might be repeated in the future.

Paul has given us a fantastic insight into what we have to look forward to and for obvious reasons no one should have expected RS.com to answer each and every question.

I don't think Paul will answer any more questions on the subject. Soon enough it will be all there for you to see what we have been beavering away at.
I have seen some stuff this week, and while still work in progress it is simply stunning.

When no one is looking, I'll shout 'squirrel' point to the biscuit barrel and sneak an image out.

With regards to the new Lighting Engine, will railworks look more like it does on the box?

Tazman, I'd never seen the Railworks boxart until now. Having quickly scrolled down the page to see the latest reply I momentarily thought it was the teaser screenshot Derek had promised  Let's hope it's something along those lines!

I'd say it looks better than that box image, but you will just have to judge for yourself when we show you.

Railworks 2 runs fine for me but when you get to a built up area like a yard wityh loads of trains in it railworks starts to slow down the frame rate goes down and I have a 2.4ghz quad core processor and 4gb of ram which should not slow it down it looks like the more stock you put in a yard or big station the more it slows down if there a fix for this
My spec is 9.0ghz 4GB ram High Spec ATI gaming Graphics Card 32" TV as Monitor

I am afraid that that is the way it is always going to be. Stock has to be shown on the screen which takes processing power etc. The more stock you place the more drawing has to be done on the screen.

The fix is to place stock carefully or upgrade your computer. This will hopefully be improved in the next major update.
