I am sure they wouldn't dream of such a thing Pads, I am sure such a thing has not happened before never mind on a regular basis.
Oh, hold on..........

Re: Award winner! Best Simulator 2010
A quiet word to the wise, chaps. This thread started as a well-deserved celebration of the award won by RW. Those who wish to join in with that celebration should feel free and able to do so without others, who may not feel the same way, turning a well-meant thread into yet another "my sim is better" contest, thereby changing a positive feeling into a negative (or at least, entirely different) one. For those who do not have congratulations to share, I would suggest refraining from posting negatively - there are plenty of those threads around already and most of it's doubtless been said before. It achieves little except ill-feeling and puts others off expressing their own views.
For anyone who may feel that this post is an attempt to halt freedom of speech or other such notions, please think carefully - ask yourselves what is to be achieved by hi-jacking threads in such a way? It's not furthering train simming as a hobby; it's not in the spirit of reasonable posting or respect for fellow members; and ultimately, it's simply not fair on those who are passionate and positive about this hobby of ours. If you don't like RW but just can't bring yourself to let others enjoy it easily, then I'm sorry but posting such views here just isn't welcome.

Dunno, not too sure about that, I'd think Derek was hinting at "proper" projecting loco/trainset lights being included in the coming update.rabid wrote:Congrats to RSC for RW2.
Reading between Derek's lines, will we see a new iteration of RW?

I think Derek was referring to the terrain lighting announced a little while ago -

Some of us have a foot in both camps, so please be careful when bandying expressions such as holdouts.Padsterdood wrote:Am I wrong in thinking that perhaps one or two MSTS holdouts have gatecrashed this thread to pour cold water on RSC's achievements? Or am I being too cynical?

Many congratulations to the RW1 team. The more popular the Sim gets the better the prospect for the future

Maybe the latter. This user despises MSTS.Padsterdood wrote:Am I wrong in thinking that perhaps one or two MSTS holdouts have gatecrashed this thread to pour cold water on RSC's achievements? Or am I being too cynical?

Fair enough,I will retract my statement about MSTS if it stops people getting all upset about it.
Oh, and by the way, I was an MSTS user myself a few years ago. Have a good guess where my copy is now. I'll give you a clue: it's not on my computer.
Best wishes,
Padster

Okay guys, no need to slip seamlessly from an RW-bashing session to an MSTS-bashing one. Let's congratulate the RSC team without negativity.
