Compared to HAWX2, RW2 is most definitely a simulator...

Well done to all at RSC
On the point I've quoted, for me a big part of any game/simulator is that the looks are believable; everything else follows from that. Of course it is important that operational aspects are believable, but not essential that they are absolutely 100% accurate

I'm sorry but, you already have another thread open to gripe and whine over RW and have nothing better to do but take a quick snipe over the achievement of RW2 getting a award for the efforts they have been able to achieve in a short time. In any other forum your comment would be considered flamebaiting/trolling so cut it out.

You clearly have issues with Railworks, okay, but going out your way to drop in snipes isn't the way of this forum and the entire reason why recent bigger issues have arised for UKtrainsim.

I'm sorry if this comes across personal and sorry to moderators, but to be quite frank this is the reason why things have gone belly up as of late.

You laughed for 3 1/2 hours about that? You should get out more.

Well done RSC, you should be very proud
More like 5 minutes, I didn't see the article straight away.

Seems I clearly have no right to criticise a product I paid good money for and one that I'm not entirely happy with! :evil:

Think before you post. Consider whether your post is:

* Pertinent
* Polite
* Likely to add value to the conversation.
* Within the forum guidelines.

In many ways, the post you don't make is the best one, because:

1. You don't need to explain or defend it later,
2. Nobody will be offended by it, and
3. You have time to focus on prepared, well reasoned responses to serious issues.

£30.. I think for that RW more than lives up to it's title of simulator. If you pay £500,000 and you're single cabin, single line simulator isn't 99.99999% accurate, then I'll take your constant moaning for more than just the trolling that it appears to be.

Until moderators or admin consider my posts inappropriate, I can continue to post whatever I like. If I feel that RW getting an award from the survey of a small amount of worldwide train simmers is laughable, then I feel I have the right of free speech to be able to say so.

Have to say well done to RSC. On another game related im glad to see that Fallout New Vegas, got their best RPG game.

You do have a right to say what you think. But has to be within the rules.

But overal a lot of sniping has been going on recently on these forums, which makes it start to feel unpleasent :/

Chris

Well some good news. If it encourages more people to take up our Hobby even better. Railworks is not perfect and has faults but is anything ever perfect with no faults. I somehow don't think so.
Congratulations to RSC for producing and continuing to improve this program.
Kind regards James.

You do of course have the right to say what you like about it, but rather than belittling the achievement wouldn't it be rather more constructive to applaud their success as a basis for future improvements?

Once the future improvements are implemented, then of course I will applaud them. At the moment I can't.

Well done to the RSC team, It's a credit to the hard work that has gone on. Of course there will always be people who disagree, and in the relatively short time I have been active on the forum I have seen a lot of it :wink:

IMHO this thread shouldn't be about putting the dampener on winning an award, surely there are enough threads discussing the shortfalls of the sim already. In real life you dont walk up to the winner and laugh in their face, but I suppose that again is just my personal opinion.

I for one am pleased for the developers on this one.

Ed.

Well Done RSC!

This is testimony to the work that has been put into developing the sim since RS :)
Although there are definately areas where the sim can be improved, the development team has stuff in the works, and the game is only going to get better!
At the end of the day, you get out what you put into games like this IMO :)

Keep up the good work RSC! ;)
