Missing route, Oxford to Paddington

I've encountered an odd problem and any help or ideas would be appreciatted.
The Oxford to Paddington route has dissapeared from the "drive by..." and edit menus in Railworks.
Packager tab in Railworks v 116.5a launcher shows that the name of route has changed to 00000001-0000-0000-0000-0000000000, rather than Oxford to Paddington, and that the RouteProperties.xml is missing. In the Package Manager tab the RouteProperties.xml displays in red text. This appears to indicate that it is missing and a sure enough its not there when I check the files in "My Computer".
I've tried running a verify game cache in Steam. No joy.
Is there anything I can do other than a complete re-install of the game?
Cheers,

Update.
Just noticed that IOW is missing as well.
Checked and again the RouteProperties.xml is absent from both the properties tabs and the system file.
By way of background, I was toying around with scenarios for the Port Road and Falmouth Branch yesterday. The Port Road ones are working fine but the Falmouth one I deleted after hitting two many issues with pathing AI traffic and becoming unhappy with the original concept. Is it possible that I deleted the missing files for Oxford and IOW when I deleted the Falmouth scenario?
IOW assets, such as the class 483 are still available for selection in the scenario editor, so it seems to be just the RouteProperties.xml's that are the issue.

Further update.
No reply, except for the automated one, from RCS Support as yet.
Thankfully I had backed up the files and moving the backup copy of the Route Properties.xml file into the system folder has solved the problem.
I'm more worried about how this apparent deletion happened in the first place. I can only suspect that it was related to my use of the scenario editor but God knows how.
If there're lessons to be learned here they are:
1.Back up your files.
2.Learn how to use the package manager as an aide for problem solving.
3.Be prepared to problem solve and troubleshoot RW2.
Laugh is, I had kept my RW installation vanilla, installing from retail disc and only downloading "official" DLC from Steam in order to avoid having to "go under the bonnet". LOL.
If I'm going to have to roll up my sleves and get my hands dirty then I might as well pay a few quid for a download subscription to UKTrainsim than stick to shelling out £10 to £15 quid a shot for official DLC from the "game of the year".
Mate of mine has Wales and Borders route and Blyth and Tyne and having had a shot of them, and seen the difference freeware assets and reskins can make to the RW2 experience, I'm sold.

The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago - see below.
Oxford-Paddington route disappeared

All of a sudden, and for no apparent reason, every scenario in every route I tried loading in RS2 came up with SBHH. I verified the cache and deleted the blueprints 3 times and it eventually started working ok,but now the Oxford-Paddington route has disappeared both in 'drive by route' and 'drive by train'. Is there any way I can get it back without re-loading the game?
After various suggestions from fellow simmers, this happened-
Don't know what's going on here, but I downloaded the Falmouth branch from Steam and when I started the game, the Oxford-Paddington route reappeared without me doing anything!

Stranger and stranger.
Having managed to restore Oxford-Padd with a backup RouteProperties.xml, and having kicked myself a sore one for not backing up after buying IOW, I started RW2 not five minutes ago to be met with an update 9.4kb in size. No idea what this was but it has restored IOW! Noticed too that the red "new!" has reappeared next to the Tutorials option in the RW2 menu.
I dont know whether to be happy or not to learn that I'm not alone in having encountered this problem but at least there's a simple enough fix.
Ah well, I'm going to chalk this one up to experience and the lucky happenstance of an unexpected update.
