This looks very exciting indeed, thats three exciting payware routes already to look forward, as well as all the lovely freeware routes that are in the pipeline.

Although I'm hoping for the 3rd rail version of the 365 (I don't mean the 465) but I have a feeling that it'll be the FCC version with the facelift (but only guessing though)bristolian wrote:Thanks for thatdanny3 wrote:He (Oovee) mentioned on facebook that there would hopefull be a 365 afterwards "That will be after 313 hopefully".

If it's set in the current time (as Oovee have said), then it would probably be as seen now with FCC...

I know that oovee like a challenge. I was wondering if there would be any chance of having some generic station annoucement sounds.... note the word generic.
Also i would like to know if we could hear a guards whistle.

This does sound very interesting indeed, will look forward to seeing this progress. If I might make a very rough comparison, it sounds like it's planned to be more akin to GARL than WCML, with the emphasis on the intensive urban operation rather than long distance express running?
Either way it looks like something that will be pushing the boundaries of route creation for Railworks and that in itself is something to look forward to

Will the customisation extend to preventing the green aspect showing as white from a distance as the default ones tend to do now and also prevent the light glow being visible from behind the signal, another shortcoming of the default examples, or are those things that can only be addressed by RSC?Ooveecouk wrote:......Signals have been custom designed by Oovee and represent the signals found on the real route.....

At this time I can't really comment on this, it's all trial and error on this front. We'll see what can be achieved when the time comes and then share our findings.AndyUK wrote:Will the customisation extend to preventing the green aspect showing as white from a distance as the default ones tend to do now and also prevent the light glow being visible from behind the signal, another shortcoming of the default examples, or are those things that can only be addressed by RSC?Ooveecouk wrote:......Signals have been custom designed by Oovee and represent the signals found on the real route.....

We believe this is the best approach to route building for a number of reasons, 1) allows the player to have more enjoyable and playable frame rates. 2) allows us more time to concentrate on creating detailed line-side equipment and stations. Open-areas such as fields will be fully designed as far as the eye can see however due to it's "open-ness".FoggyMorning wrote:it sounds like it's planned to be more akin to GARL than WCML, with the emphasis on the intensive urban operation rather than long distance express running?

Could i just poke my oar in on the signals. One thing i keep noticing on WCML is that when the signal is off in the distance if the singal is actually displaying green, it shows as a white flare from a distance. its the same for the other colours to. Can anything be done about that?
