Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Thank you sooooo much for all your comments! It's really great to know my modest efforts are being enjoyed! I'm back on route building at the moment until I get the next sounds I want to use!
Cheers

I love these sounds! Thanks ever so much for sharing Matt! I have been playing with the whistles the most....recreating the 14xx in Titfield Thunderbolt opening theme
The Steam Locomotive. No other mechanical contrivance devised by man could arouse such praise one minute, derogatory the next.

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Just been trying to get these sounds to work, but seem to be getting problems with either no sound or the locomotives disappearing with just the couplings visible. Eventually however the 45xx sounds have sorted themselves out.
Tried deleting blueprints and keeping the box ticked, and am now wondering if I ought to have the 94xx installed for the others to work?

Thanks for doing those Matt, they are really nice reskins so I was alittle confused that you hadn't decided to do a alias to them aswell. There quite nice reskins and fit into the BR era quite well especially alongside DTs 4MT.

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Hello,
thank you for sharing your great work. I started with the Black Five set. Your instructions how to use the sounds with the default engines helped me a lot understanding RW files (after nine years of MSTS) and gave me courage to dig a little deeper into them. The next step was the Stanier Mogul. First I tried it in my engine testing scenario and was able to hear the new sound for half a turn of the drivers before the sim crashed. The forum postings should have warned me. Anyway, it seems to be pure madness of me to gather all my steamers plus two more complex sound sets round Bath shed. So I moved the Mogul to a less populated place on the Port Road, and now I could enjoy the new sounds without problems. The wagon and GWR sets will be my next steps. You see, your work gives me a lot to learn and to do, but also a lot of fun. Just the right thing for me to keep the old gray cells busy because I retired two weeks ago.
Keep on steamin'!

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Black 5 sounds coming soon
Ride behind black 5 45231 as she ascends Alton bank on my WIP watercress line for Railworks. The loco is pulling 6 mk1's up the 4miles of 1in60 and begins to struggle near the top. Then a bit of lost time is regained down the other side from Medstead.

Thanks to Markjudith for allowing me to use some of his sounds for rail joint and running sounds! I've made a file similar to the BG_steam bogie sound but specifically for the locomotive and tender. This provides a much more immersive experience!
Chuffs, whistle, cylinder cocks, coasting, low speed grind and safety valve sounds are all my own.
I am getting some sbhh errors though which I believe is to do with the sounds and my low spec computer. I may need this testing before I release it.
Regards

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Thank you Matt in advanced for doing this black 5 soundset, from the video which msdejesus posted it really does sound great and I've experienced from your GWR sounds that a utube video doesn't do the soundsets justice to you get them ingame yourself and try them out.
A technical side of the sounds I like to ask, is the black 5 soundset aliased to all black 5 locomotive in RW2 and does it require just like the GWR soundset for 92210 assets to be toggled? I know these probably in the readme, but in advanced warning would be nice

Hi Matt
Thank you for your contributions, your sound sets have really re-vamped the default stock and it is great to see the black 5 is getting some new sounds!
A small problem regarding the hall sounds though. How do you apply these to the hall that is included in the falmouth branchline? would like to get these working if its possible
Thanks and take care
Tom

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
To answer the above questions: There sounds are initially for the default black 5 and rusty versions only. And, as with my recent sounds, they'll require selection of 92212 and MW_sounds in the editor in order for them to work. Regarding the Hall, i'll sort out a patch for the falmouth hall as soon as I can. Cheers. Matt(92212)

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Sounds are up on UKtrainsim, though there seems to be some login issues at the moment so keep trying if you encounter it.
Edit:
Downloaded and tried out, hit a few SBHH at first but another reinstall of the RWP and toggle on and off the asset folder seems to have fixed it, I think its just RW being stubborn.
The sounds are wonderful, very well done and very atmospheric aswell, the new bogie sound as you chug along is quite a nice touch and the new soundset is also very excellent and gives quite abit of umph to the black 5. I've been testing the sound out on the new settle to carlisle route and it certainly gives you plenty of scope to test the soundset so I would recommend anyone to use that if you haven't already. I have to say also kudos for getting a great recording of a stanier hooter to, such a lover whistle and properly deep throated enough to feel like your leaving on a steam engine.
Its a great pack and I'd recommend anyone to grab it if they like driving the black 5 and want a new lease of life to it, it certainly gives it and like all sounds by Matt thus far there easy to install and very atmospheric aswell as giving you the "just like the real thing" feeling.
