I did go today after all, hope you have a good day Stephen, the GWR 3850 2-8-0 Heavy Freight Loco with the Mineral wagons is really the business (couldn't miss that could I), also 3717 Truro, GWR 14XX 1450 and the 5526 Praire Tank are very nice too (and that's from a LNER fanprairie4566 wrote:Sure does Matt.
Well I'm going tomorrow anyway.I was going to go to the Great Central Railway's Steam Gala tomorrow, but now I just might stay at home and drive the Mogul all day instead.

Oh my - steam is really being enhanced by these. It will not seem right driving steam loco's with default RW sounds after these. Just been running the Mogul on the Port Road - what great atmosphere now.
Thank you

Yeah, do you know what I did right after listening to the mogul sounds? I typed in "mogul" at UKTS downloads search engine to get anything even remotely related to it and tried it!

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
Hi all.
Next up:
GWR soundset part 1
Sounds for Kevmt's small prairies and 94xx. Also for Ash Burgess' Pitchford Hall(ID 22771). And for DT's large prairie(currently not available to download). If you haven't got it, use RW_Tools to change it for another small prairie or another loco of your choice.
Also uploaded more scenario's for the Honeybourne line:
GWSR Churchward 150 scenario pack

You can't miss 3850 just for being 3850 and the only 2800 in its correct black BR liveryemrhd01 wrote:I did go today after all, hope you have a good day Stephen, the GWR 3850 2-8-0 Heavy Freight Loco with the Mineral wagons is really the business (couldn't miss that could I), also 3717 Truro, GWR 14XX 1450 and the 5526 Praire Tank are very nice too (and that's from a LNER fanprairie4566 wrote:Sure does Matt.

Re: MW_Sound packs coming to Railworks
So the sound files finally became available today and I grabbed both the scenario pack and soundpack to test it all out.
First to get out the problematic side, it seems Railworks is being stubborn for me, so I was getting the "Cant load Class 37 BR Blue", when loading the 3 scenarios, to fix this its nessessary to go into the editor and toggle under the RSC asset list the class 37 pack then place the Class 37 BR blue, save then try the scenario again. Its a odd consist load problem which isn't solely reserved to just your scenarios Matts, but its just something to be aware of and for anyone else getting the issue to.
Onto the good!
The sounds...just incredible, I don't know how you do it or get it to work so well but you really do have it on the money when exshaust beat, GWR ticktock and clank. What I notice a great deal as these sound packs have been release is how you capture all the sounds of the steam locomotives in question in each soundpack, the GWR locomotives especially have a wide varient of sounds which have been added to the locos to a excellent standard.
I honestly think the video doesn't do full justice (not intended as a negative comment), when you get these sounds installed and drive the locomotives you are immersed into the sounds of these GWR locos. From having to use the small injector for brakes which has the correct sound, to the hiss of the boiler to the chuff beat which has a lovely bark and sounds just like what I've actually heard in person next to these machines, it just brings it to life for me and I really have you thank you Matt and the people who have helped you achieve this, the small prairies and its bigger brother and the hall sound excellent. Also to add to this the feature with cutting off the regulator which triggers to clank (which is very GWR loco sounding) really is a great improvement and in my own opinion should be something as standard for any new steam locomotive addon from now on.
On note of the Hall, while I believe your first release of the hall soundset was really good, this new set improves on that and really does make it sound outstanding. I really cannot get enough of these new sounds for these excellent freeware and payware GWR locomotives, thanks to Karma also having the cab for the prairies with the model and sound, it now feels equal to payware product and I thank you for doing these soundsets for freeware locos as this only encourages freeware loco creators to create more, with your soundsets freely available and premissions asked any freeware developer is going to be able to have atleast a equal or close soundset for there creation by the time you have finished with your long list of locomotives.
I recommend this to anyone who loves GWR locomotives and steam in general, you will get immersed into it and lose time like I have just going back and forth with the locomotives and listening to the exshaust beat as you run through the country.
Here to the next soundset release, keep up the good work Matt.

Hi,
I've had a go with the GWR sounds and I'd like to say that the small prairie now sounds wonderful. I've just got to go through several scenarios now and tick the MW_Sounds box a lot! I think I'll be using the 4575 and 94xx classes much more now.
Thanks and congratulations on a great job!

Hello Matt, I wonder if you would be able to also alias the Large prairies sound to the two BR reskins of the large prairies or be able to explain how to do it, I couldn't find the usual files unless I've gone blind.
