Invisible locos are down to the actual reskins or a geo file not been correctly copied over, the locomotive will remain invisible to they are in the correct place.
I agree entirely, but not in this case, wish that it was, checked, double checked, treble checked, uninstalled, re-installed all files, but still the same.

The strange thing is that they appear perfectly when placing in "Editor" mode, but as soon as the big 'Play' arrow is pressed and the Sim has reset (Loaded) for Play, everything on the the Loco except for the front coupling disappears, the Tenders appear perfectly, but when you try to LMB click on the Loco to 'select it' nothing happens, but clicking on the Tender takes you on board complete with full sounds.

Exactly the same thing happens with the Halls.

I don't think this is a missing shape file.

Something we spotted on the wagon pack is that shapes will now not appear if there is an incorrect reference to a chid object, including one that isn't there. As sounds can be child objects, it will have the effect described here. The issue we had was an incorrect reference to the default sound - in RW2 it just didn't play sounds, in RW3 the wagon load disappeared. All was well when the sound reference was corrected.

What it could be is a missing sound i.e. one that has not been packaged. This may explain why Matt can get it to work, but why others can't. If i get chance I'll have a look later, but I'd try exploring that as my first line of enquiry.

Hope that helps

Ben

Just tried the sounds for the Jubilee. Really great - now I can tell a Jubilee from a Black 5.

Many thanks for the ongoing sound work.

Evening everyone,

I've not had problems with missing textures, or the loco not showing in TS2012, although when numbering the Jubilee as 45699, I had no whistle sounds from either the Space Bar or the B key.
On numbering the loco as 45593 or 45596 though, all was well. Weird!

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.

nobkins wrote:Which loco are you trying to use? There are many black 5's. ALso the loco's in the UKTS Steam Freeware Pack have all same sounds from Matt and they do not require the MW_Sounds dev filter as Matt made us a special set of sounds for the packs.

Might be worth installing those:
http://www.uktrainsim.com/FreewarePacks.
Can the fantastic Black 5 sounds which Matt produced for the UKTS freeware pack be enabled on any other Black 5 scenario as they even top his original Black 5 sound file UKTS_26021? The high speed chuff sounds are just superb!

Very nice Soundpacks, I've installed them all. It's now fun to drive the Julibee, Hall and Black 5 now.

However, I could never get the Bullied Pacific sounds working. I'm assuming I installed the pack correctly- I.E. I dropped the "Assets" folder included with the .zip into Steam/Steammaps/Common/Railworks. I only get the default sounds DT included and not the new sounds. I've made sure I ticked "92212" in the developer folder. Any ideas?

Hi, if you've verified cache at some point, you will need to do it again, as steam will have put the default files back. Oh and clear blueprints.pak files as well. Hope that sorts it

Hate to ask this again but is there a mirror to download all of 92212's sound sets? UKTS isn't friendly to the creditcardless. :(

There are several alternatives if you do not posses a credit card:
http://www.uktrainsim.com/index2.php?fo ... bscription

You can use Cheque, Postal Order as well as credit / debit cards.

Or you could find someone with a card. Give them £3 for one month membership and ask them to make the payment for you. Should only take them a few minutes of their time. If none of that is possible you can always wait in the queue for a free download.

I am loving these new sounds! The 4F sounds great!

I have a question about these sound packs. Do I have to go into the editor and select the 'provider' every time I run a scenario with a loco using these sounds? Sometimes they will not play if I do not. Is there any way to make the change permanent?
