DT Wagon pack

Post by J1o2h3n4 »

Hi,
Anybody D/L this payware and has the scenario's working?
The Home to Bath for instance gives me the proverbial SBHH on loading.
RWTools gives it a clean bill of health regarding Assets.

I have the same thing on this one, SBHH
I played it a while back, possibly before the Railworks 2 update, and it worked fine then.

Just tried it, you are not alone; although mine happens about 15s into the scenario.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

And has anybody reported it to DT via their support route ?

It is easy to come on these forums and have a moan but official support is via DT's support mechanism. I am sure if they see the reports here they will take a look but giving them the proper information would be better.
Kindest regards

I just tried the scenario and received the same SBHH. I solved it by going into Scenario Edit and moving the player consist slightly and then returning it to its original position and all works well now.
I have come across this on odd occasions and moving the suspect consist can cure the problem.
Well, it works for me!

Hi Clive,
will give that a whirl the morrow.

This was not a moan, as my installation is approx 44Gb. I wanted to see if it was my set-up or it was a genuine problem.
All this pre contacting the Vendor or Steam - am I now to understand that UKTS is now to be the last resort to try after all other avenues have been explored?

No not really, its just that we tend to post support type or even other feedback here rather than to those that made it in the first place, and they don't always have the time to search through every posting so it might get missed.

I would not be surprised if there was a high percentage of people who simply ignore an issue and never report it anywhere.

Hi,
As suggested earlier, have tried to EMail DT with this problem. But no matter which address I use, message is KB'd with syntax error, check message recipient.

So in case anyone from DT is monitoring this forum, find below copy of attempted EMail :-

Hi,
I bought this package yesterday via Steam.
On the "Home to bath" scenario, I get the Something bad has ...... message after approx 15sec's and RW closes.
On posting on UKTS Forum - RW-Scenario creation, received the following advice :-
I just tried the scenario and received the same SBHH. I solved it by going into Scenario Edit and moving the player consist slightly and then returning it to its original position and all works well now.
I have come across this on odd occasions and moving the suspect consist can cure the problem.
Well, it works for me!
I have tried this, and after saving the changes the scenario runs. But if the scenario is reloaded the same SBHH re-occurs.

Any ideas as to what is wrong?

I also have 'Home to Bath' giving SBHH shortly after loading - I have sent the crash dump to RS.com support, as I would assume a crash must be a core issue of some sort, even if it is provoked by something strange / broken in the scenario.

I also had problems with 'Shunting at Radstock' - I can't get the first marshalling instruction to complete, and I'm pretty sure I've got the wagons in the correct siding (I didn't remove the guards van, am I supposed to?). Has anyone managed to do this scenario at all?
