I'm thinking about having a go at creating scenarios. Obviously there is the developer tools documentation to follow but I can't find anything about creating AI.

Any general points would be most useful.

You place the AI in the same way you place the player train. The only thing you don't do with the AI is tick the player box everything else is the same.

Have a look at the scenario creation section. You'll find lots of tips there.

As you are new to scenario creation, you may want to do a very short Passanger scenario (Evercreech Junction to Shepton Mallet) with one or two A1.Then (if your confident enough) start making some freight scenarios. Personally I created some simple scenarios then as my confidence grew I attempted pick up and drop off scenarios.

Scenario creation may seem daunting, but once its complete you feel happy that you have a working scenario that you made yourself.

The most important document to read in this case is RW_Timetable_View_Manual.pdf in the usual railworks\manuals\EN\ folder. It has a pretty comprehensive walkthrough for creating a standard scenario.
