IHH Westerns

Post by codrivermike »

I'm creating a scenario for the Flamouth Branch based on a photograph from an old Ian Allen magazine where D1030 Western Musketeer is pulling a rake of wooden China clay wagons (i'm using the Digital Traction wagons) Anyways, I am struggling to change the loco number and nameplate and I am wondering if a manual came with this loco and the Western Region pack locos? I've checked the normal manuals folder but there isn't one there. Have I missed something? Can someone please point me to where it might be?

Best regards

Michael

Hi Michael

IHH seem to have a bit of an aversion to manuals sadly. I've got the following saved in a notepad file - presumably posted by Sly around the time of release

Code: Select all

Some info on the numbering system.

the full 32 digits are used to display
Number 5 digits, Name 19 digits, Namplate four digits, Headcode four digits

# is blank

example
D1009##WESTERN#INVADER###b##1M17

Numbers.. straight forward D1064 etc

Name..... the longest name has 18 letters plus central space making 19 digits
if your name has an even amount of letters then it has a single space in the centre if it has an odd amount then put two spaces in the centre to keep things spaced evenly.
The remaining spaces are then shared as prefix / suffix eg ##XXXXXXXX#XXXXXXXXXX##
Upper case Digits only

Nameplate.. four nameplate lengths avaiable a,b,c,d (lower case)
syntax is a### or #b## or ##c# or ###d

Headcode.. eg 1A64
Upper case letters only
Hope this helps

That bit.
My posts are my opinion, and should be read as such.

Thanks for this too! I was doing it the long way around by constantly planting Westerns until I got the one I wanted. Looking forward to your scenario also.
