Re: Class 31 anticipation thread!!
They did mention today on Faceschmuck that it was still tonight. The addons have been late before, it really isnt the end of the world.

It is not the end of the world if the prettiest girl in the neighbourhood stands you up on a date either. But when it happens two to three times in a row, a lot of people would start to go looking elsewhere.Darpor wrote:The addons have been late before, it really isnt the end of the world.

1, Nobody actually gives a time for release, people just assume.
2, Terrible analogy.

Re: Class 31 anticipation thread!!
It's not the end of the world and it's not life and death but it's bloomin infuriating and it's bloomin rubbish customer service. If I was RS.com I'd be hammering down the door at Steam HQ at 9am tomorrow and threatening to take my business elsewhere.
Why oh why do they always release stuff late in the evening? If the release date is the 15th December then why don't they release it during the day? I don't think there's ever been an add-on released on Steam before 6pm.
I've had a sense of humour failure now, that's it for me now, as a busy dad my RW time is limited enough as it is, tonight I had it all planned for a whole evening of RW. No chance for me now, the last time I had a whole evening in to myself was over 10 years ago!! :bad-words:

The release time will be due to the fact that Valve are based in the West of America, so they operate about 8 hours behind GMT.
Expanding the TS wagon fleet.

Re: Class 31 anticipation thread!!
It clearly says "December 15th" - no caveats whatsoever given about US time or whatever. With RS.com being a UK-based outfit, it is natural for people who see the announcement to think UK time. As has been mentioned before, it'd be a lot wiser of RS.com either to give the release date as the day after, or (probably the best thing) to never give an exact date for release, but rather to announce the product as released when it can be 100% verified that it is available on the Steam store.malkymackay wrote:The release time will be due to the fact that Valve are based in the West of America, so they operate about 8 hours behind GMT.

Re: Class 31 anticipation thread!!
Maybe it's time to look for a company that are based in Europe then where most of the customer base surely are. I was dubious about the use of 'Steam' right from the word go. They seem to have a stranglehold over the game, they never seem in any hurry to get new stuff released and I hate the fact that you are basically renting the game from them.malkymackay wrote:The release time will be due to the fact that Valve are based in the West of America, so they operate about 8 hours behind GMT.
I've often wondered what would happen if Steam went belly-up or indeed if RS.com went under? would our game and all the hundreds/thousands of pounds invested into it disappear overnight?
Give me a CDRom or a proper download any day over this mysterious 'steam' organisation.

It is still December 15th isn't it? and if it wasnt, what difference does it make. Not like you have paid to preorder it nor have you had to walk to the shop to be told its not coming out.

Two words.
"Unbelieveable thread"
I can understand Jimmy's point of view, the poor guy has planned/cancelled/planned/begged/received torture just to raise funds and find time for the addon. But come on, is it all that serious?

If I promise to fix your car on Monday, because you need it for work on Tuesday, what difference does it make when I don't come and fix your car until Wednesday?almark wrote:USRailFan wrote:It clearly says "December 15th" - no caveats whatsoever given about US time or whatever.
