We should be concerned with safety at level crossings :P

Looks like the triggers are set up too close to the crossing.

In fairness this problem didnt happen when I actually drove the train, but with this one, I followed an AI Consist and this is what happened. could this be the cause?

Yes, its AI.

Triggers are set to double those of default but AI and player trains activate them differently.

I watched the JT Bristol - Exeter working LC video's, and was surprised not to hear the screeching of tires and the smell of burning rubber when the barrier was raised.
I do not regret the decision to bring forward my JT spending on this route, but I am still amused to be given a green signal at Exeter as loads of suicide drivers try their luck before I depart.
:o :D

As a NR employee could I ask the mods to alter the header to something a bit less provocative.

NR take level crossing safety very seriously and the title is misleading at best, potentially slanderous at worst. The issue being referenced is within a train simulation game and nothing whatsoever to do with the real rail network.

Alright I'll change the name of the video on Youtube, However I think you should chill out, It's only a bit of fun, and considering it's on a rail simulation game then Network rail have nothing to do with it in reality...

Your fun could have become very costly if Network Rail had decided to take you to court - perhaps it is you that needs to chill out, and think before you act.

With the number of level crossing accidents in certain parts of Australia you can bet that the Australian Rail Track Corporation would not want any videos on youtube attributing those incidents to their good name. A DMCA takedown notice would be in order.

Picking up that that title was in fact a bad idea, deeply misleading, imagine someone starting a thread called "RSC on the verge of bankruptcy", how the people working for that company would feel...not right, imho, either.

If that's referring to my link to the TS thread, get your facts right - at no point in either the header of my thread or the text was any reference or implication made that RSC were on the verge of bankruptcy. Nor for that matter on TS. It was a presentation of information in the public domain, albeit a bit out of date and admittedly in the TS OP now appears a bit skewed in respect of what was shown.

Anyhow kudos to the mods and OP for sorting out the titling in this thread, though it should be noted one or two of the subsequent posts still appear to have the original header in them.

Vern I think Manuel was referring to a thread started on the Steam forums :)
