NR take level crossing safety very seriously and the title is misleading at best, potentially slanderous at worst. The issue being referenced is within a train simulation game and nothing whatsoever to do with the real rail network.
As a network rail employee also I can tell everyone here that network rail take nothing seriously apart from making money for the high level managment. This part of the game is modelled on part of the network rail infrastucture, so in a way it does have something to do with network rail, it's a simulation of a network rail failure and thus the title was more apt before it was changed.

Oh and you know the fault will not be able to be recified because there will only be a 2 man team in at this time of year and no overtime given to get the 3rd man needed to go on or near the line.
That'll be all "1's" on the Q12 then!!
I filed mine in the bin as usual, they know who puts what, looks worse on my backstabbing line manager if they aren't returned.

Maybe it is just my alien perspective, but as a non-customer of the railway company in question and a user of the game in question, I wonder if this thread would bring forward some insight into the game side of the issue raised.

I myself only ever saw negative side effects from stopping within the closing point and outside the opening distance. And with the original script, the cars stop when the closing animation starts, as far as I saw it. But my experiments were limited for sure. This is why I love this forum when it is used to exchange useful information.

So far, I am testing these out on my route, so not included them in the present upload, but from what I too have gathered, the crossing gates act as they should and close well in advance of both Player and AI trains. Will be interesting to see what Derek comes back with :)

It makes me laugh how cavalier those bus drivers are.

Could I just ask people to think a little before they post?

I've already removed one post on this thread today that was libellous towards one particular company. Whilst Stuart's post isn't quite that, I'm certain that the bus company won't see the funny side of it....

Just remember, it's the site owner who'll have to pick up the pieces if someone gets nasty as a result of an irresponsible post here.

Just to pick up a point in Ash's post.
If we get any complaints from companies quoted in the forums, then the person who posted it would be liable to a possible instant ban.

So read your post and think before you post, that is why the Preview button is there.

I would add that the comment was based upon an experience of mine, NOT related to level crossings at all in actual fact.

Indeed, if it still causes offence (and Im not entirely sure why), I would be happy to remove it. Indeed, Im not sure why its been locked out preventing me from doing so.
