Re: Epic Fail
come on guys, lighten up. It's only a youtube video it's just for fun. I found it funny, because Rhys is a comedy legend and if you'd watched his other vids then you'd be commenting him

Good evening all
I've had to stop watching this video
My side was aching I've not had such a good laugh in a while
Kind regards Stephen

Re: Epic Fail
This video made me laugh. Imagine if that happened in reality chaps? Would some drivers stop for just the lights, or would the risk it?
As for the controversy over the original title of the video/thread, I found it highly amusing and quite intelligent word play.
Regards,
Dark.

The motorists are just as bad...I was driving the Fawley Tanks scenario (Might replace the duffs with a 60, there are too many sheds around) and first a car, then a double decker bus
drive through the barriers as my tanker train was bearing down on an AHB crossing at 60mph.

As a network rail employee also I can tell everyone here that network rail take nothing seriously apart from making money for the high level managment. This part of the game is modelled on part of the network rail infrastucture, so in a way it does have something to do with network rail, it's a simulation of a network rail failure and thus the title was more apt before it was changed.bigvern wrote:As a NR employee could I ask the mods to alter the header to something a bit less provocative.
NR take level crossing safety very seriously and the title is misleading at best, potentially slanderous at worst. The issue being referenced is within a train simulation game and nothing whatsoever to do with the real rail network.
Oh and you know the fault will not be able to be recified because there will only be a 2 man team in at this time of year and no overtime given to get the 3rd man needed to go on or near the line.

That'll be Vern unable to afford the Falmouth addonpedanticmongrel wrote: no overtime given to get the 3rd man needed to go on or near the line.
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it
Re: Epic Fail
As a Network Rail user I'm disgusted at the lack of accuracy in winter scenarios on third rail routes, obviously all that should happen is a box should pop-up saying all services are cancelled as we've made no attempt to get them running and dump you back at the main menu

Shouldn't it dump you in the middle of nowhere rather than at the main menu?godabyc wrote:As a Network Rail user I'm disgusted at the lack of accuracy in winter scenarios on third rail routes, obviously all that should happen is a box should pop-up saying all services are cancelled as we've made no attempt to get them running and dump you back at the main menu

Dont you think you guys should look at the bigger picture? At the moment Im a student, Tuition fees all paid for by a shipping company, at NO cost to you glorious taxpayers. Bang, Sue me, and the country gains YET ANOTHER unemployed person on Job seekers allowance with NO PROSPECTS, and costs you YET MORE taxpayer money to provide me with the beer and drugs that I will need to cope with life then....
On the other hand, doing nothing.....Everybody wins.

Just a quiet word guys - time to move on and return to the original topic. The soapboxes aren't needed.
