A good deal if you don't own any/very little DLC. If you already own most (more than 50%) of the released DLC it'll probably be cheaper to buy everything you don't have separately...

sometimes on Steam when you buy such game packs you'll get a gift code for anything you already own. Does someone know if this is the case with this deal too?
For Newcomers surely a good deal, but as I noticed on the Steam boards, the pricing is a bit... unfair best to say:
UK£ 149.99 = 177.19073 € --> UK£ 149.99 = 234.104392 US$
US$ 199.99 = 151.369967 € --> 199.99 US$ = 128.133009 UK£
Tier1 Euro Zone: 159,99€ (currencies converted with Google)

so for you UK folks it might be best to contact someone in the US who gifts it to you and handle the payment privately (e.g. via PayPal)
Please note: english is not my native language, sometimes I may not use the right words to describe what I want to say.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but irony and sarcasm may get lost in translation

I started a purchase to see if I could gift any duplicates and sadly you can't.

Personally there is £170 worth of DLC I would like to own in the pack, my current purchase policy is to only buy discounted items of Steam, eventually most things go on sale there. So if the items I wanted went on sale at 25% I could in theory eventually purchase the items I wanted at around £130, If 33% then about £115.

So if I bought all the items I wanted in a sale I could get them eventually for less than the pack price, but if I purchased the pack I would have a lot of extras that I woulodnt have purchased at little (comparitively) extra cost. Hmm am I talking myself into or out off purchasing the pack? Whichever it wont be until my next C/C statement date so I have loads of time to mull it over. There is obviously a market for such a pack, it certainly has some appeal to me and if Doncaster Works was included or I hadn't succumbed to temptation and purchased WCML at full price it would be an easier decision.

Might have to break a spreadsheet out to help and then end up tossing a coin :P

... a word of warning ... Steam have a habit of NOT giving dates for the start or end of their sales of RailWorks items. It's quite possible that this offer will disappear from the store on Monday, 6th - but it's equally possible that it will run into January. You take your chance, and (perhaps) pay your money,

wrote to Steam support and they confirmed it. This will only apply if clearly stated on the sales page, which is not the case with this one :(
To my second question how long it will be available they didn't answer. Not a single word about it, so I don't know if they don't know or if they just overlooked it.

It's one of the weird things with steam, over the past 3 years of me using it there have been sales that have lasted a few days that were given dates when ended or not, it varies unfortunately. Though I do suppose it's a way of getting more money as it makes people uncertain, and the saying goes "The man who hesitates is the loser" I believe.

Steam support got back to me, but couldn't say when the offer is over. It comes directly from RSC. But by the way it is listed on Steam I think it might be a long-lasting offer.

I just wish I had £149.99 to spare. But even if I did, I couldn't justify spending it on that. :roll:

Well it's near Christmas so hopefully there will be some offers soon.

Cor, I wish I knew the answer to that one!

I am in exactly the same position and I keep scouring the lists, almost every day, to see if something turns up.
