The only dependable thing leading up to Christmas is that without a shadow of a doubt, Christmas will definitely fall on December 25th. I pay no attention to any release date, or schedule for anything in December. Add steam releases to the equation, and fuggettaboutit. Everyone and their sisters, uncles, counsins third nephew is trying to push out their products and patches before the holiday hits.

Re: Mega pack for railworks 2 on steam
I'm in a quandry over this one. I've already got nearly £250-worth of stuff that's included and reckon I could spend just over another £170 at full price on stuff in the list that I'm interested in.
I'd love to see a more modest supermarket-style offer along the lines of: choose any three DLC items and get the cheapest one free. They'd soon do a roaring trade from me...and others, I suspect. Couldn't they follow the very generous example of Just Trains: 15/20% off across the board, perhaps for a limited period. Unlikely, I imagine.

Similar has been done before. You just have to be patient and check.MFMPorter wrote:=Couldn't they follow the very generous example of Just Trains: 15/20% off across the board, perhaps for a limited period. Unlikely, I imagine.

Sure. I've never seen one before involving every single item of RW DLC.

Well no, not for every one but I do believe just about everything has been covered at some point. If you want to wait, just keep a look out, it can be a pain of course but the right offer will arrive.

Re: Mega pack for railworks 2 on steam
I think there is quite a lot of revenue available for RSC if they allow say 25% or 30% discount on individual downloads of older DLC, There are several Im waiting to fall into the bargain bin
Just Trains also appear to have a "Mega Bundle" around £125 I think, they are certainly going for the large outlay. But whats the advantage in these large bundles over individual offers to the retailer, they will only appeal to newer adopters of the sim with a large amount of disposable income. In the case of RSC Its not as if they have a wharehouse full of boxes costing them overheads for storage, you only need a few cheap hardrives to hold masses of their stock.
Re: Mega pack for railworks 2 on steam
This is a great offer for the newbe, but like a lot of others out there i have a good few of DLC
and if i took up the offer would save about £60 on what i would like.
The reason i hesitate is i am only interested in British Railways no disrespect to other countries
its just my preference and i dont want all the extra DLC in RW, if i could delete it ok but steam would just keep putting it back.
At the moment it works out at everything is 25% of the standard price even at a 50% reduction across the board on all the items
mentioned everyone would fill their christmas stocking, i would for one.

Re: Mega pack for railworks 2 on steam
I think someone at Steam has made a boo-boo (
); all of the free DLC (Port Road, UK Buildings Pack etc.) is currently listed at £149.99 each

Do the 26 not add up to more than the cost of the pack? Not that this means they are all addons you want of course.67025 wrote:Nothing ? i dont have it ! What i meant was theres only 26 Addons i need , so i would waste my money .
