Unfortunately the Class 156 will be delayed until January 2011 due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for the delay!

Best guess - Unforseen Circumstances = Forthcoming Railworks2 update, will break everything, want to wait till 2011 as it won't get fixed till then!

I think it's probably nothing more sinister than an overambitious release schedule. There is an awful lot of content in the Christmas showcase set for release in a very short space of time; it's not too surprising that a hiccup here and there would throw a spanner in the works, especially when you consider there are the vagaries of distributing via Steam to take into account

The other possibilities could be that they were due to record a soundset for 156 in the next week or so, and well the UK is currently gripped in heavy snow across all Eastern parts of the UK and if there source is in any of those areas it would have probably have been cancelled due to the weather conditions, and at current weather conditions most if not all train services are on emergency timetables due to the snow. But either way, better it be done properly than rushed for a x-mas release.

I believe not, I actually recall spotting someone who looks fairly like Zane recording 170s and 156s at Ipswich, so they will have atleast got a good portion of the soundtrack together. Though I believe "unforseen circumstances" can mean something else, like changing residency or the purchase of a new computer...

Or, more prosaically, they are currently tied up with children home from closed schools. That is another side effect of the current weather.

When I was a kid
we(I) still had to go no matter how deep the snow was, you see, we were tougher back in the 80's

(and the country seemed to deal with it, unlike the current crop of UK'ers... heck, even the trains ran properly, none of this leaves on the line business)

I didn't know Zane was married with kids, but, there you go......His "unforseen circumstances" could be anything, he probably has just realised it's December and he needs to plan his Christmas shopping and presents lists.....
Cheerz. me.

Thanks for understanding peeps, its a mixed of some of the thoughts laid out above. I'd rather it be pristine, than buggy with missing features.
@Tankski - yes, it may have been me collecting the last of the 170 sounds.
Thanks,
Zane
