I think that's the point TElsmore is picking up on.
They run a business though and certain things sometimes take priorities. If a business based their model on listening to what people want completed first, they may not last very long.

I'd have to disagree Darpor  happy custom= happy business if it was down to not having access to any data on the class 67 becuse of the high security rolls it plays I'd understand
I think because it was announced and left it has caused a thew grunts in the crowd, I mean i have a route I have started but can't continue until I get the nod from WCRW with a help request so for that reason I've not shown any progress as it may not happen.

But you got the idea out there. Unfortunately as other things have happened, progress has slowed and so hasn't been made public. But nevertheless you endeavour to finish it...

The 67 (and 325) was announced too early in the development process, but that's not something that we can go back and alter now. If I had a time machine all of you would probably not know about the 67 or 325 yet, or certainly wouldn't have done so as early as you all did, but the information was released because it is/was true that we are indeed working on them, along with a number of other projects, some of which have since been released. If we don't tell people they complain we don't say anything or don't give details of things we're working on, so in some ways we can't win either way (until we release stuff and people say how pleased they are with it - that's always nice to hear).

I can assure you that it hasn't been "left" though. Far from it.

Thanks,

Simon

Not disagreeing about happy customer = happy business and all that goes with it. However, as said, it is a business and businesses have priorities, things are moved around, higher forces demand other things are completed and certain projects inevitably take a back seat. That is how business is done. Nobody ever said the project had been "left" however, I have to admit, I kidnapped the modeller so blame me. :D

Cheers,
Terrone.

We don't only have one project in progress at the time - there are always several projects at various stages of the process, from initial planning to development, through to testing and preparing for release, and many other steps in between. These all happen with different people involved in different parts of the making of products, and the 67 will be released early in 2011 - the announcement that we're considering other projects does not delay the Class 67 in any way.

It was announced an awfully long time ago, too early according to Simon and thats fine by me, im sure i will survive! I was in no way having a poke at JT though Simon/Darpor. I am certain that it will be worth the wait, as will the 153, 325 and anything else that the JT gang have planned.

Cheers,
Terrone.

Going back to the previous page - was it a 150 that people wanted most from the list or something else?

Yup! You don't even need to go back and check it.
And think of those sub-types. It's more like a pack than a single unit 8)

150 would be good. Although wouldn't a 155 be easiest, considering those are what the 153s were based on?

Definately a vote for the class 150 from me :D

If a load of modern DMU's are being built we might has well have a few more, they would be perfect for The Transpennine Route

Did they really use 150s on the Transpenninne? I thought that was the domain of the Class 156s and 158s before the 170s and 185s appeared?

Ye, but you're talking about First Trans Pennine Express, as in the company, USRailfan. Many Northern Rail Services and other franchises operate the route
