Free roam content filter strangeness

I'm trying this with a new free roam scenario and getting the same result on multiple routes (Oxf-Pad, S&DJR, Test Trak, South Devon banks).

When I open the content filter to make downloaded content visible and useable under RSC it shows the following:
APStation
Class101 Pack
Class37 Pack
Tornado Pack

But as soon as I tick any of them, and look for them on the loco list, they are gone. If I go to the content filter and select RSC it now only lists APStation. Anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Hi Mathew, thats exactly the problem I had when RW2 first updated,but with the Jubilee pack. I thought RSC had sorted the problem of DLC not being recognised though. Maybe validating your RW2 files in Steam will help?

If something isn't showing up on your content filter list in RW2, and everything is installed properly / files verified via Steam then submit a report to support(at)railsimulator.com. There is Anti-Piracy protection on 'RSC' and certain other 3rd party add-ons which initially caused problems on some of the other addons available. It could be a case of this "protection" being too strict again...

Well I didn't say I'd purchased Railworks 2, or my copy of Windows, or a lot of other things, are you going to assume that these are stolen too?

I shall try what the others have said below, and if not I'll get in contact with the relevant persons. As a note, i have not been able to download the free DLC pack either, despite having my account details all put in correctly.

Aye, aye. Steady on. Nobody is accusing anybody of 'stealing' anything.

The 'shareware' buildings don't download in quite the same way as other content that you would buy. I can't recall precisely what needs to be done, but there are several threads around here that will give you the right pointers.

The questions are fair within the context of the problem posed by the original enquiry and given there seems to be some sort of authentication hiccup.

The fact that some DLC does not show up in the front end of RailWorks does not mean to say that you cannot used it if you have the DLC installed. RS.com are working on this and it should be fixed in the next update.

Note that in the Object Set Filter there are two boxes by every Developer Product, one to enable the assets in that route and one to disable them in that route. You have to ensure that the first box is ticked. Note that the reaction to the mouse click is slow so if nothing happens straight away, clicking again may well undo what you thought you had done. The boxes are also a bit faint so on some screens you may not even realise that there are two boxes (enable and disable) to tick.

I would have been able to tell you how you could have downloaded the free DLC pack, but in view of your comments I will leave it to others, especially as I never accused you of anything.
