Potential known errors

Post by rivimey »

Folks,

Some additional things for the "known errors", unless someone knows better:

1. When editing of lofts that had been terrain-height-followed, it seems that if you try to edit the gradient (e.g. the S&D line on the way out of Bath) the first edit flattens the loft from that point on.

2. I would also like the "something bad" errors to be improved:
- becoming much more specific, detailing "what" the somethng was, and "where": either the tile or lat/long of the location, if that is appropriate.
- are presented such that the error is always visible. If you're full-screen, the error is frequently displayed behind the full-screen 3d window with very little to indicate that it has happened.
- preferably, unless there is no possibility of carrying on, providing a "continue" option that recovers e.g. by dropping you into the editor, unless there already !
If it is deemed unwise to reveal this to all and sundry, perhaps a checkbox somewhere can enable this greater level of information, which will help no end when content creators hit a snag, or users find they're unable to run a route.

3. The "lineside" view can select a base point from which the train is not visible - e.g. beside a building, under a loft etc.
