It's seems to me that apart from the new menu system, which to be fair is good, if you can find all your stock that is, and the Mickey Mouse HUD, they're just intent on churning out more and more payware. With such an expensive hobby, they should at least try and make it a bit more realistic for all the money we're paying for these add-ons.
Any real life train driver will agree that they'd find it pretty odd to be driving along in the rain with no water hitting the windscreen, and seeing pylons with no wires on them.
Moan over.

Dave,
You expressed exactly what I think too. The most important issue is to improve or tune up the graphics engine of the game, the eye candy can arrive later.
Personally, I don't like the new hud,, especially the lower field with meaningless icons.
Today on most high speed trains there is in cab signaling, so those 3 color signals doesn't contribute much to realism.
Other changes in menus are really welcome.

This whole release has been a mess and indicates a lack of Beta testing and forward thinking. I am still with Railworks 1 atm. I have seen pictures and videos of the new F4 thingy and it reminds me of the Toy Car Dashboard I had when I was about 6 years old. The problem with Stock not being recognised and the accusations of users having illegal copies if things didn't work needs an apology to be given IMHO. The update has also caused problems with Routes created by users particularly Scenarios.
It would have been simple to update the Class 86 to fix the notch problem because they are going to have to make alterations to the DLC for it to show up and work according to RCS. We have no real idea of what has been altered or improved and some improvements suggested since the original Rail Simulator have still not been fixed. I am grateful for all the work done to get us to Railworks 1 but they seem to have thrown away all this good work in releasing Railworks 2 as a new version when it is little more than and update to make things look pretty and more appealing to new users. Now we will probably get more DLC to empty our wallets.
I have no doubt some people will not agree with me but we will have to agree to disagree on this particular topic.
Kind regards James.

Im usually a sit on the fence and at times have even praised RS.com but I have to admit though this RW2 business is just tacky and cheap.

I have to much money invested in this product to walk away now, but this whole thing has been poorly managed.

I expect Steam to be used to update the original product and keep it ship shape.. I dont expect it to be used to basically turn my product into a re release version with child like additions to expand the products market.. And yet again why are RS com the only software house incapable of putting a dated update list where it belongs on Steams page..

I have to admit I agree with this post and most of the original poster's views.

Might I also add shame on those so-called respected posters who thought it was perfectly fine to practically accuse many innocent posters here of software piracy. I hope they've been suitably warned by the moderators.

Doubt it, I flagged a couple, but the reports have been closed and the comments still as they were, I can only assume that payware authors are free to break the rules.

The HST brakes *are* broken. I've already filed a bug via support@railsimulator.com. If they haven't fixed it by the time I get home this evening, I'll make a video to demonstrate what's wrong.

I assume everyone in the not happy thread, and "what should be in it" thread emailed RSC with their concerns right?

Just to say thankyou to Andyuk for his information about the F4 key, It solved the problem. About Railworks2, now I can turn the HUD off I'm happy with the update, certainly the front end menu is much improved.

I can't find any direct quote in your posts. You did direct people in one of your posts to look at Derek's comment where I believe it was mentioned. Not intended to be critical an anyway. Just answering your question.
Kind regards James.
