That's a first for you on WCMLN isn't it, Bill. Congratulations.
Not really. I've never had a crash on it, it was engine audio cutting out, and the missing terrain I got that one time told me to just walk away and come back to it later. :) Performance wise, it was still the same as I remembered it. Engine audio cutting has happened a few times on other routes now also.

I just know WCML is a good `stress test' per say and thought a 100 mile run on the WCML would be a good base of the stability of the core of this new build. No SBHH before update, and none after.. Happy camper that things are at least essentially the same at the roots.

Yes, I was also able to run "Hand Over" without running out of memory even with full graphics settings - an actual improvement over the previous version (previously it would crash on load unless I disabled something). However the performance is not improved yet, so when running WCML I still have to turn things down to avoid time lag.

It takes a great man to acknowledge he was wrong. :fadein:

Missed this reply earlier.

Just the way I was raised. Knowing, admitting to, and learning from your faults. No one is perfect, and no one can expected to be. It's how one handles their imperfections is what makes a person who they are.

I want to say a massive thank you to all the RailWorks/RailSimulator team, the release of RailWorks 2 has really brought me back into it. It seems now that the problems with the running speed of the game has completely gone, and I'm falling back in love with the game, the new "simple" (which isn't really fair, it's genius) control system is fantastic, and very realistic too. Scenarios now run fine, even when there's lots of AI around, and I love the Careers mode, having not tried it before, despite not being great at it yet. Also the initial start-up menus are great, a massive improvement over the old, "basic" options, and it means that I can find what I want very very quickly.

So once again, I can't thank all the team enough.

Here's to hours of driving and 1000s of miles covered.

Thanks

Richard

When Rail sim first came out I could not get on with it and like some others, spat out my dummy and chucked it on the shelf. It is still there. Seeing Railworks 2 for half price I decided to give it another go. No problems installing steam or the download. Had a couple of runs and enjoyed them. Went back to Steam`s store and bought the IoW. Fantastic. Been on the sim all day today with a mate. No problems, did what it said on the tin. My mate was impressed as well and will get a copy. A special thank you to Derek for a very enjoyable day on the IoW.
