Amazing, eh?

In other news: oranges; quite like apples... but then, not at all.

I don’t care what sim it is, it was accomplished and its freeware.

But surely it's irrelevant if it's in a completely different game. Otherwise you may as well ask "Why isn't it possible to fly planes in Railworks, after all, you can in Flight Sim" :-?

I was going to leave this one to run, but given the sentiments of the "anti-cant" division I would like to throw my weight behind the "pro-cant" brigade. The BVE screenshots demonstrate the effectiveness of superelevation and, IMHO, anything purporting to be a railway "simulator" needs to be offering the effect. Whether you view the product from an artistic/aesthetic, operational or realism point of view it is a feature long overdue implementation in a modern sim.

It is, why?

Are you saying that a “paid for” train simulation game has less capability of handling features already available in a train operation simulation that is available for free?

How about that realistic simulated lateral/vertical cab motion that has been mentioned many times before, or is failure in being able to pull that off irrelevant when discussing RailWorks also?

This forum really has gone a little crazy over the last 24 hours and then completely mental in the last hour. Here we can suggest that something cannot be tough because it is present in a completely different program? :o I dont think it is a case of "it cant" be done, I just dont see any reason why a completely different program is mentioned. Once that starts, we have all the "My Peniston is bigger than yours" posts.

Your ignorance of commercial software development is pretty spectacular. But don't let that stop you expecting the world for your £30.
I asked this the other day and got no answer, so we'll try again.
If BVE is so amazingly awesome, why are you wasting your time with the pile of garbage (sic) that is RW?

Really, lol, could you give us a run down on your personal experience with commercial software development? Have you ever been involved with the development of commercial software?

When did I ever consider it a “pile of garbage”? If I didn’t think it had potential then I wouldn’t even comment.

+ zusi + maszyna accomplished this task :)
My top wishes: Realistic engine physics - Superelevation - Multi-core support - Remove Physix engine, and use better one

Yes that’s one I should have mentioned, Vern has put up some links in the past to Zusi and it does look very impressive.

I want a boat. And a hekklecopper and a pony and a space alien with laser-beam eyes and a giraffe called Ezekiel and a real, live Transformer...
