I think I got the P2 free with my 4MT. The latest model looks much more up market, plus extra liveries plus fish vans, seems like a deal....no pictures of the cab or high res screenshots yet though?
Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz @ 4.60GHz,
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 3072MB
Motherboard: Intel Z68 (Socket 1155), 8MB DDR3 RAM. On-board Sound
Windows 7 64
I Mean, that should do it?

I guess that like the original version it uses the default Fowler 7F cab, which is pretty much correct anyway.

I do find this slightly annoying with DTs site , and in fact some shots on steam (which I presume are passed to RSC by DT) Is it so difficult to show a full detail shot that hasnt had the life compressed out of it, or is it to do with bandwith etc.. I should add its not just DT who are guilty of this.

Something I commented on in a different thread......why do they give us such poor and incomplete screenshots? What about the other liveries, the cab, and decent high res screenshots?

Indeed it is a common problem.

What bugs me is the proportion of shots taken from the shadow side. Quite often half the screenshots are 'wrong' side.

I mean you wouldn't take photographs like that......

I'm not singling out this release in particular, it's pretty much a universal problem.

Got mine a long time ago, so now just looking forward to the DT Upgrade pack, which on DTs website implies that the LMS coaches will only be available (at least initially) by buying the upgrade for original purchasers..

Any sensible marketing strategy by DT will see the DT 2P+ LMS coaches available on Steam and through their own website.

They state, with an outstanding gift for ambiguity :(

We will be offering upgrades for previous customers as soon as the LMS coaches are complete which will be offered as part of the package through this website.

I anticipate that by 'previous customers' they mean those who have already bought the package on Steam, though the language will also lead those who bought the original 2P grounds to think it also applies to them. I can understand why! 'Previous customers' is a very ambiguous phrase. It could mean
any one who bought a) the 2P Mk1 b) bought the present 2P on Steam c) bought anything from DT previously! After all they don't say previous customers of what.

I imagine the upgrade version will be available only on their own site so that those who have already bought the 2P through Steam can add the coaches to the package at a specified price, while the full package 2P+ coaches and fish van (?) will be both available on Steam and their website. Upgrade doesn't mean discount!

Here's hoping DT clarify this issue and choose their words more carefully.

How I read it is that original edition 2P customers will have the upgrade path made available once the pack is completed with the coaches. I also seem to read that new 2P/Fish customers (whether through Steam or direct sale) will get those included coaches as a free update, given those passenger coaches were supposed to be in this 2P pack all along.

Well personally I think it is insulting to deliberately withold detail, so I will not buy until I see some proper media. I have seen this too often with Railworks and there is no excuse any longer. Stop taking us for fools!

@ Pilot37 - would you be happier if they told you in advance & for some reason they couldn't supply? - I don't think so.... so lose lose to supplier in this case!

I really don't see where the ambiguity lies. The latest statement is that the upgrade will also include LMS coaches, which are still being developed, and also the van. Whilst the details are not to specific, it seems pretty clear what they're planning on doing. (and I'm very happy as the 2P pack upgrade looks to be pretty good :D )

If you've already got the model, surely you know what the cab looks like! :-?

I can't see anyone playing anybody for a fool here. The statement on DTs site is non-committal as they presumably can't say with absolute certainty at this point when the upgrade will be available. If you aren't satisfied with the publicity information then your simplest solution is to not buy the model (though again, since you've said you already own it, I'm not entirely sure where your argument is going with this)
