Hello,

I have been using RX for about a month now without amy problems, I have installed the 101DMU addon pack and the IOW, (Purchased from Steam).
When I was using Rail Sim I purchased 'Just Trains Voyager' and decided to re download this for use with RX. On the installer, I clicked on RX. button and all appeared to install ok? Ran one scenario for 5 mins ok then tried to run another scenario and got an error message on screen, saying something about 'Route blocked' and another two saying 'Many Failures' - See Logmate.

I knew I shouldn't have downloaded anything other than from Steam so could someone tell me how to safely uninstall this lot from RX please!

Ps. Don't want to edit or anything as I don't feel confident enough to do this.

Whats that supposed to mean? Are you saying downloads from Just Trains shouldn't be trusted?

No, not at all, sorry if I gave the wrong impression, which I probably did, but you see I don't wish to mess up my current settings by trying to put right this problem. I don't have the knowledge for one thing like most of you people have.

Well no, the problems that you stated are actually scenario based, nothing to do with the integrity or the quality of the product. There is no need to uninstall as it wont cause any harm to RW.

To help, first tell us which scenarios caused the problems, specifically the "many failures" one as this is most likely a multiple failure of scenario paths. Also, there is a Railworks compatibility patch which if you haven't got already, may solve the issues. http://www.justtrains.net/product.asp?pid=349

First off, it was the 'In your Dreams' ( Newcastle - York) scenario which gives the alert message at start up. From memory it said something about 'Route blocked - Durham to York' and then underneath that one there were two more, 'many failures see Logmate'.

I did first go to that page and followed the instructions. When downloading there was a choice to tick rail sim or RX, I ticked the RX option which must be the compatible link?

I have bought lots of DLC items from Just Trains and most other 3rd part developers although not the Pendalino. None of the JT stuff has caused me any problems although had a couple of isolated similar problem with scenario's from other 3rd part developers. Usually any problem with scenario's is caused by slow crawl AI which then causes problems in the scenario such AI derailment (when another AI train crashes into the back of the slow AI train). At one point I had 4 scenario's on the Padington\Oxford route causing me problems.

Then my Vista installation broke whilst windows updates were being installed (where Vista restarts after an update then keeps rebooting itself whilst installing the final part of the updates on the restart). Obviously I had to re-install Railworks after I re-installed Vista and low and behold all the scenario's I peviously had problems with are now working and I have had no problems since with any of my payware DLC.

Perhapes something you have installed may have caused a problem but then perhapes not, eitherway Railworks can be a little bit tempermental but dont let that prevent you from the enjoyment of driving your Pendilino train as many others have bought this DLC and I have not seen any comlaints on this forum.

So maybe bite the bullet uninstall any payware such as JT stuff through the windows control panel then using the Steam client perform a complete removal of railworks using the "Delete Local Content" option in the library section the re-install the whole lot. If you dont you may encounter problems with any other payware you buy later.

Yup, the Railworks option should allow the Voyager to work straight out of the box so to speak

From memory I think there were a couple of Voyager scenarios that stopped working correctly after one of the Railworks updates over the last few months - this may be one of them, I can't be sure though since I rarely drive the bundled scenarios

There were indeed two Voyager scenarios broken with a recent Railworks update. JT are working on a solution.

Hello Hoytt,

Just went to the link you provided and yes indeed one of the scenarios mentioned there is the one I have a problem with! (In your dreams). Just ran another scenario for about 10 mins and was running ok
I will leave things as they are then, but that is a relief to know as I would not have the confidence to go messing around with files etc.
Hopefully 'JT' will come up with a solution in the near future.
