This is a superb little route enjoyed it very much, however I have a problem with the route crashing RailWorks in the Kirk Micheal area. If I create a new scenario there with no stock, on moving up the line as the second bridge appears, the whole sim locks up.

Any clues as to what the cause maybe?

Hi Mark,
Thanks for downloading the route and the kind comments.
Unfortunately I don't know what could be causing the crash, the only thing maybe is the road crossing the second bridge in the cutting leaving Kirk Micheal isn't initializing or something. In all fairness that's the only thing up there.

I purposly reinstalled RW and the route and assets rwp's from UKTS as if I was downloading from new, So I'm looking at it from your's, and all who downloaded the route, point of view. I tried it myself about 10 mins ago and no lock up here. Sorry I can't be much help at the moment.

Best to wait and see if anyone reports the same problem

Have the scenario's supplied worked ok with you?

Regards
Phil

Hi Phil

Only tried the DMU and got the hang up prior to the Kirk Micheal area, this prompted me to create a new scenario to see if any stock was at fault but obviously the problem lies with the route/my assets.

If I find the culprit I'll let you know :)

Cheers

Cheers Mark,
I just had a run again myself, maybe just clutching at straws here but it isn't because the amount of assets is using too much resources in that area would it and locking up RW?
Mine flicked quite a bit ont he embankment between the two cutting going into Kirk Micheal.
Like I say I might only be clutching at straws on this one.

Phil

Hi Phil;
downlaoded your route and think it is great, just had a run from Ramsey Docks on a mail run using BR Tram pulling two mail coaches at a steady 14 MPH
atleast at that speed you could look at the very good scenery, looking forward to the next phase

Re the missing markers problem.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the route. Installed the scenario from your website.

Scenario loads and runs with no problems.

Excellent route, well created.

Hi Dik,
You don't know how much of a relief that is.
Thanks for persisting and I hope you find it was worth it.

Hi Phil

Just ran the route through RW Tools and apart from missing assets from the community project, which I don't have, the following are missing;

camber\addon\trackrules\marmita_1435mm_track_rule.bin (loft item)

NZTSWS\NZRTrack\RailNetwork\trackrules\nzr_tracks.bin (Road item)

Plus SAD's foliage pack although I have his Altenburg route assets installed, he mentions in his foliage pack not to install if you have his route installed, as this would double the asset list unless I have got it wrong? :(

Thanks for that, however I did a substitution for default items and all works well now :D so I'll leave it at that, saves downloading more items.

Off to play now :)

Don't worry too much about the track rules. the only one you need is Philtrackrule. The others were left over from experimentation in the early stages of the route. I tried to find them to delete them before release however I decided that if they don't make a difference it's not worth risking a problem.
Thanks for finding the Driver thing, it's not something I notice.

Glad to see some of you who had problems starting to get sorted now

For those who've noticed a rail missing at the end of Ramsey Quay. Thanks for letting me now.
Please don't worry about it, It all works fine it's just the way Railworks has rendered that angle of track. I tried to fix it when I laid it and decided it wasn't worth the effort. It's definately not worth upsetting the apple cart now.
I'm just suprised anyone has got the time for my route with the release of the WCML north

You can`t get enough of a good route - whether it`s a few miles long or over a hundred miles long.
.
Keep up the good work.
