"Animated" Corridor Connections?

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right section to post this, but i was wondering if anyone has tried making coaching/EMU/DMU stock with animated/moving corrider connections?

I know the 380s end gangways extend when 2 unit are coupled together, but i was curious to know if anyone has tried and/or had any success at getting the gangways to move when the train is on a bend or crossing a set of points?

Again, apologies if i've posted in the wrong place, and apologies for the vaugeness!

Ben reported on a GetCurvature system call which I never tried.

Curvature = 1 / Radius

You can use it to control an animation which deforms your corridor.
Wagons (and coaches) can have Lua scripts now, but very few people have tried it.

Hi!

I don't know if the same issue, but I solved it in the following way:

In my EMU I have created those structures and I have configurated them as a coupling, so when the train is in a curve this coupling turns regarding the curvature amount.

sorry for my english.

Regards.

There are moving/rotating gangways on my class 317. It's just done as part of the couplings. Quite straightforward really. Looks a bit odd on very tight curves, but only for curves less than the real train's minimum curve radii.

ps
I see Reppo has posted simultaneously to say he's done the same thing. Great minds think alike :-)
