If you already have V2 or V3 of The Port Road as in the UKTS library, you will find the scenario folders in the following location:

V2 -- C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\651298b3-8f33-48b8-82e1-78f7f476d171\Scenarios
V3 -- C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\b58cffc0-2b24-492b-babc-21295919df11\Scenarios

Just copy any of the folders within the above listed locations into the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Content\Routes\00000010-0000-0000-0000-000000000000\Scenarios

I make no promises that any will work. Mine needed some work to get it going, although I have now completed it successfully.

I used RW_Tools to identify specific scenarios, but I suppose you could just copy the lot and try each one in turn.

I will certainly update my scenario to work with this version of the route at some point, as well as adding some new ones which I've created but not uploaded because I couldn't quite get them working as I'd like. If the hoped for signalling tweaks come, I hope they will.

I was making a scenario for version 3 of the route, now this comes along. . .

Great work as usual Keith, it surpasses what The Kalm Line could even dream to look like. :)

Nothing but positives from me, anything that's free has gotta be good, in fact I'd go as far to say let's have a few more.

And women say we men can't multitask? Derek is the role model to show them we can actually, but we don't boast about it like they do (this is not ment to offend any female members who may be amoung us).

I've created these Assets. If this Route remains free, feel free to use them further on if you want.

The Port Road is already the full version and it is going to be staying free even with the future extensions to it. The idea with it being available on Steam is that it should not be restricted to just UKTS members, and it becomes an extra route for future payware DLC to use in scenarios. You might be getting it confused with the Carlisle-Glasgow segment of the West Coast Mainline which is being built by the same person and will be released as payware.

Hello,
after my first explore run on Port Road I'd like to send a big thank you to the creator. The route is really great, especially because it's my favourite era. Anyway UKTS and and the British routes are my favourite places in RW at the moment, because there isn't so much stuff of this era (yet?) in Germany, my home country. So my thanks also go to the creators of the many freeware steamers I've already downloaded in the short time of having RW (about four weeks now).

Keep on steamin'!
Dietmar

I must say that for atmosphere, there's nothing beating this route. Bath - Templecombe just got knocked down to second place on my list of favourite routes when it comes to creating atmosphere and the sense of 'really being there'.

It's a very nice and beautiful route indeed. I'll have lots of hours happy driving here.

I've found just one odd thing: I started at Dumfries and drove towards Kirkcudbright (by steam locomotive). Then, I wanted to reverse the steam loco to drive back. Luckily, I found a turntable, but after rotating the loco, I couldn't couple to my carriages anymore. When I tried that, I drove into the carriages and finally the whole train flew into the air and (obviously) crashed.
I don't know if this is a minor mistake in this route, or a RW bug.

Having driven this route, I am certainly going to buy the West Coast Main Line! :D
