The site says the hydraulic pack's sounds are aliased; I wonder if Sly's used the DB V200 sounds, that would make the best sense from all the available default RW sounds?

Your ISP is feeding you a cached site, you can force a cache refresh from your browser...For Firefox, hold down the shift key while pressing either refresh or F5.
For IE I think it's the control key and refresh button or F5, Don't use IE so cannot be sure.

It's CTRL+F5 in both IE and FF.

You can also use CTRL+SHIFT+R in FF.

12pounds for the Western is way too much for a loco for me. If this has some extra features I know not about, I withdraw what I said

I think it's fairly reasonable given the livery variations and real sounds. Compared to German Railroads' latest pack at 30 euros it's pretty good value!

Western pack content:

8 liveries (Spanning from 1961 to the end of there service, also includes yellow ends and boxed yellow ends)
Sound set from SVR's Western
Full cab modelled and animated
Full 3D model of the locomotive
ALL nameplates of the class and adjustable via the usual editting methods in the world editor
Headbox numbering + side of cab numbering
Scenarios
IHHs bonus content

Thats not worth 12 quid? I don't really know what else you were expecting for less price.

You took the words right out of my mouth (or should that be "away from my fingers"?:)) -- if it's as good as the Peak (and I've no reason to believe it isn't or won't be), then 12 quid is, to me, a fair price.

In fact, from what has been described as being included, it's an even better deal than the Peak was -- every single loco with nameplate and every single livery!

Not really relevant, since I have no interest in German stock, mate. I only compare that which is of interest to me, and as good as it is, the Western is simply priced too high for me at the moment, and (as far as I can see), and in my opinion does not constitute value for money.

That said, the western diesels pack seems to be great value for money for the amount of stock that you get, sadly too high for me anyway.

I could not agree more. I think these are value for money. Other packs I have bought have been first class

As long as there's a few (2 or 3) scenarios then I personally think £14.09 is worth it, especially if IHH's past efforts are anything to go by. :)

I have always had a personal problem paying for stock with no scenarios, so I agree that if that were the case it would be too much money for some...

14.09 with VAT included, I prefume? around 17euro for one Loco :-?.

For all my complaints, I really do appreciate Sly's work by the way, it appears to be top notch. The problem with pricing seems to have risen lately from 10-12euro a loco from different developers, not IHH who always kept a constant £11.99

I think both of the packs a well priced for the value.

One question, are the Western Region diesels from the WR Diesels Pack included in the Western Pack or not?

12 quid is a typical price for a loco pack, so this pack is no more expensive than similar products from a number of add-on providers.
The value of your investments may go up as well as down.
