New ( upcoming ) H.U.D.

Post by tonic110 »

Just a quick question, I believe that the new H.U.D. can be fully mouse controlled.
BUT are we going to be sat far enough back in the cab to allow us to see both controls AND track/signals?

The optional new HUD will be an overlay on the screen, not a set of contrrols on the regular dashboard. It will stay on the bottom of the screen no matter how you change the viewing angle, so you can still keep eyes up and pointed ahead. That's why it's called a Heads Up Display rather than a Heads Down Display

I'll second that, would also be nice to be able to move it around to suit the cab enviroment and the F3 display as per it's counterpart in MSTS.

We will have to see what the final HUD brings. I would like to see speed dials rather than digital speed displays as it is easier to judge acceleration/deceleration. CFS3 had some nice transparent dials as an option.
The value of your investments may go up as well as down.
