Would you care to give more details such as what you were actually doing at the time and have you sent any DMP files to Railsimulator.com and reported the problem to their support email address ?

Hi, this seems to happen due to the DEM data itself, I think, but it's something that happens with random parts of DEM.

Have you seen this thread which seems to be identical to your problem? http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 4&t=107957

Yes can confirm pressing "T" on my Matheran hill line which is bog standard SRTM1 90m (holey) DEM crashes the Editor.

Don't this lot beta test anything?

I think it has become pretty obvious by now, that RS.com beta testing is at best extremely superficial, but most likely non-existant.

Must admit, I havent tried the "T" flaw yet but I am getting some extremely strange behaviour on NTYM. On approaching Newcastle, the next speed limits on the F3 HUD went very weird, showing 9, then 11, then 14 then back to 11 again? I sure as hell know those values were never typed in even if I had made some glaring errors where it would jump to 70 and back.

Give the RS.com guys a break - there are plenty of new products that have the odd glitch that gets missed by testers, but this sort of statement really doesn't help anyone at all - it just promotes the sort of troll attitudes that are unfortunately becoming too frequent on the RW forums in particular these days, and in this instance has attracted a complaint.

If you've nothing nice or constructive to say, it's probably best to say nothing. 8)

I think you're being a bit too lenient on RS.com there, Ash. This is supposed to be a professional software company and making sure a fairly fundamental part of the Route Editor still works after an upgrade ought to be an essential pre-requisite. I don't regard a justified complaint as "trolling" or are we leaning towards protectionism again here?

Looks like it. My statement was based on personal experiences. Most of the stuff I've experienced after previous updates, is stuff that would easilly have been discovered had proper beta testing been done (such as the GUI cutting off the last item on the scenario list if a route had more than a certain number of scenarios, or scenarios suddenly not even loading because of changes done to the sim).

I think the point is people have made comments about the bug.. I have the same problem and await a solution

But when people just start adding snipe remarks regarding the beta tesing it does start to head to troll territory (though tbf its hardly worth complaing about that should be for serious breaches)

Vern - I think any casual trawl through my moderator posts will show that I am even-handed. If there's a problem, it''s dealt with and to be frank, I really don't care which sim is involved or who has posted. I dare say there's a few to whom the thought of me being protectionistic (if that's the word) towards RS.com would cause hoots of laughter... :)
