Ooh! Good find, Joe.

One of my earliest memories of model railways was of the Jouef rendition of this beastie.

Yes, a very nice model and I too could only get it to work in 'simple' mode. However, since the package was in .rpk format, could it be that it is meant for RailSimulator rather than RailWorks and hence the control issue?

Mike

P.S. However, I have now got it to work perfectly in 'Expert' mode using the joystick configuration for for my Saitek throttle console using the throttle notches in reverse order and then 'flipping' the sequence (I can now operate the throttle, train brake and loco brake individually). Subsequently, I went back and read the 'readme' file and, after following the steps exactly, I find that the keyboard does work in 'expert' mode: you have to tap and wait for the 'A' to go from one notch to the next and back by 'D'. (make sure you follow the breaker sequence in the cab display!)

i'm not sure about UK keyboard layout.....
i'm not sure about french keyboard layout
i'm not sure how railworks handels differences

but i'm almost sure your problems could come from the keyboard because the readme tells : French Locomotive SNCF BB12000
for Rail Simulator and RailWorks QUERTY Version where querty refers to specific keyboards.
