Have to agree, the overcast sky and the dirty loco with the colliery in the background looks so atmospheric.
I think they should get a piece of DLC as a prize

Great pictures. Is it just me though, or does it look like the Fireman has gotten off for a furtive slash in the bushes?

Now where is that picture taken at, it's not a default route, so where is it :-? So now all we need is a fowler 4P 2-6-4 and a 7F 0-8-0 and we have virtually got the whole collection :D If only the jinty had a proper cab :D

Could just be a mock up scene built in a few minutes just for screenshot purposes.

Now that would be wonderful, totally agree! :D

Could have done with the LankyYorky version on the KWVR as well  And some 3F 0-6-0s went on the SDJR I believe. As for 0-8-0s, what about the Super D? :D

But yes 43924 in 1948 style livery would go down a treat, that's an amazing shot indeed.

Foxfield? Hmmm. Wishful thinking.

My memory may not be serving me very well, but I was under the impression that the 4F was originally going to be bundled with a new route.. i'm wondering if the screenshot is taken on this route as I don't recognise the mine as being one of those on the S&D (could be totally wrong tho').. andy

I don't think that shot is from the S&D, as it shows a loco coaling plant. The only one I recall on the default route is at Bath Shed.
Looking forward to the 4F, a loco that could be seen somewhere between the S&D and the Highland Mainline during it's career. It's also nice to see we will be getting some sheeted wagons.

I notice on the blog, that there is a shot of a 4F in SDJR livery, this would have to be a right hand drive version and also most likely would have a smaller MR tender, illustrated on P. 218 in Vol 4 of An Illustrated History LMS Locomotives, complete with boiler band.

While on tenders, it would be nice to see a Fowler 3500 gallon tender behind a Jubilee, I always remember them that way.

Absolutely! I also like the Fowler 3500 tender, especially behind a Jubilee.

The Railworks launcher page has updated, the 4F is due out tomorrow, though no pricing yet, probably be up on the facebook page later today or the main page.

Looking forward to this, looks nice and great to get some more wagons but looking at the screenshots it looks as if the grey LMS vent van is unfitted, however has it been painted in bauxite for the BR era? If unfitted shouldn't it be grey?
