Today I got the update and I am very happy with it.-) Thank you very much for your fast work! The work horse can now work (i.e. over the S&D).

Re: Fowler 4F news
I purchased the F4 a couple of hours ago now after reading about the update and still haven't seen the damn thing
Sometimes I hate Steam, can I force it to download content somehow or do I just have to wait? I have contacted Steam to ask about this and other issues. Maybe not a good idea to purchase on a Sunday afternoon
Re: Fowler 4F news
I would think that anyone purchasing the 4F after the update was released, receives it with the update 'built-in'.

Hi,
Any new custumers would not know the difference.
If you bought the 4F today then you will have the updated version.
regards
Derek

Sorry, I wasn't talking about the update, I was talking about the complete 4F pack. But I have it now, I just dont like having to wait and not knowing whats happening with Steam downloads.USRailFan wrote:I would think that anyone purchasing the 4F after the update was released, receives it with the update 'built-in'.

If you're talking about newly purchased products, be it for Railworks or something else, then usually once the payment has completed then the game will appear in your list. However, on occasion if you're not paying by Credit Card or are paying in a "Busy" period (i.e major new release / summer sale) then it can take an hour or two or three until the payment clears and "Steam" (Valve) release the game to your library.briyeo1950 wrote:Sorry, I wasn't talking about the update, I was talking about the complete 4F pack. If it takes a while to appear in your Steam client, you've got two options - either wait for an hour and check again, or restart your Steam Client. As sometimes your Steam Client needs a restart for it to appear in your list (very rare).
I've only ever had to wait more than three hours for a game to appear in my listings, as it usually is pretty instant.

Yes, I have had a very bad experience with the 02 Shunter pack. Railworks refused to run after buying it and .... its a long and uncomfortable story and I have no idea how newcomers cope with the hoops we have to jump through sometimes to get RailWorks working.briyeo1950 wrote:I purchased the F4 a couple of hours ago now after reading about the update and still haven't seen the damn thingSometimes I hate Steam, can I force it to download content somehow or do I just have to wait? Steam is definitely getting to be a pain and I hope RS.com do something about it pretty soon.

Re: Fowler 4F news
Hi Derek
I have noticed on another thread that Steam has had a problem. I may have just been unlucky to try and buy the shunter pack at that time but it certainly stopped RailWorks working and the only way I could get it going again was to use RW Tools to get rid of 0 byte files. And then I still had not received the shunter pack.
I am putting it down to a Steam glitch. I will say no more.
EDIT : I should add that I do have the 02 Shunter now and I like it very much. I may have a dislike of Steam but I am a huge fan of Railworks and the great models that come our way.

Or do what I did, take the dog for a long walk in the coutryside and forget about it until Steam sorts itself out. Internet purchases have to be trouble free, no excuses, I prefer direct download links like DT and IHH have. I also had a long wait for the Class 02 shunterAndyM77 wrote:If you're talking about newly purchased products, be it for Railworks or something else, then usually once the payment has completed then the game will appear in your list.
