is there a Settle & Carlisle Route somewhere then too? :D
Rats, I thought I had caught it before someone noticed my mistake. :(
I wonder how that chap is getting on with the S and C route though?
Me too :D You do mean the 'Garsdale To Dent' Route, right?

Outstanding, Can we have a midland railway version :D Does the snow actually clear when you plough through it? or is it just a scenery item? I hope its the First one:D
Now could I ask, will it use the 7f cab and sounds, i don't mind the cab being used but I really hope the sounds will be improved a little :D Oh and surely the snow texture thingy on all variants ( the actual snow not the snow plough ) in winter like over the footplate, tender and cab roof as well as all those other little surfaces :D

Snow particle effects and snow drifts (as scenario objects?) - perfect. Could the latter be made to disappear using an animation triggered by some sort of train proximity coding?

Meantime the RW scenario writers might take a look at these cracking videos for inspiration:

The snow drifts look like the gravel heaps re coloured to me not a critasism, just an observation.

There might be some snags associated with this...

1) Snow on surfaces would, generally, come away as the loco warmed up as well as being removed by airflow over it.
2) The same effect would need to be applied to everything that's been released for RW thus far -- especially wagons and coaches -- lest it look like there's a Christmas cake at the head of the train.

Personally, I'd like to see some more snow on stuff, particularly wagons and their loads. In my nirvana, it'd be a dynamic effect with snow building up on surfaces over time and disappearing off of locos and faster moving vehicles for the above mentioned reasons, however, I suspect this to be something that will remain a pipe dream for some time due to the constraints of what RW can do at the moment.

Looks great Adam!

Makes me think of: "Snow came early to the island of Sodor...It was heavier as usual" ("The Deputation',Thomas the tankengine)

Not to mention that the wrong kind of snow would lead to all services being suspended

Since someone shared that great video, here is a little something from this winter on the American side. Steam + Snow = Beautiful. This place is a regular visit for me each summer.

Enjoy!

WOW! Impressive! Thanks for the link styckx

Now, if only we could get a smoke/steam effect like that in RW - forget the snow! :D
