Are you Local scenario

Post by Austcoop »

Hi,

Just downloaded the Are you local? scenario by Smarty2 (thanks for the scenario Martin). Just a word of warning to others though, the scenario is reskin heavy (which Martin does mention in the attached readme), but I had to change about 75% of the consists with RW tools as I didn't have the necessary reskins. As such, unless you have a shed load of reskins, it isn't playable straight from the download. Right, off to drive it now and hopefully leave a more constructive bit of feedback!

Hi, yes indeed, since Rs was released I have accumulated a vast amount of reskins as mentioned in the readme that is why I always make a point of anybody downloading my scenarios reading the readme :) Am getting on now and my memory isn't capable nor does it desire to make a log of everything I have ever downloaded! Thanks Mike Simpson for your wonderful tools :D . have fun.

I had most of them, however there was no way of hunting down an elusive royal mail mk1bg, which I replaced in order to enjoy this nice scenario, for which I am truly grateful.

Hi, sorry for being dumb but where do I find the "Are you local?" scenario (and others that seem to be screenshotted here and there) for Wales & Borders? It doesn't seem to be on UK Train Sim unless I am looking in the wrong place. I spent yesterday installing this route and was absolutely blown away by the stunning results - magnificent effort Shane and thanks for sharing this.

Thanks very much. This file does not seem to under the Activities section (unless I am being dumb again). What's the best way of finding any other W&B scenarios that might be filed elsewhere? Thanks again.

It wouldn't be under the "activities" section since activities are for MSTS not Railworks. You need to change the file library filters on the first page of the library to show Railworks files.

Hi Martin
Thanks for the great scenario. Its good to have someone using these heavily detailed routes with lots of payware items. Pacerpilots 2 fantastic scenarios and now yours all in one week. I truly hope we can look forward to more of this type of work .
Thanks again Phill

yep, it's a brilliant scenario, Martin :). I will have to run it again, as I was late arriving into Little Hope, but I enjoyed every minute of it :)

Thanks for the nice comments, yes you certainly will find it a challenge to get there for the connections, unless you do things to the 101's gearbox! :)

Aye that's it. As far as I know, before changing gear, the RPMs must fall below 500? Or am I spouting nonsense? :)
