Alan
My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558
Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Re: Class 101 DMU released
I've done a scenario for Keith's excellent Port Road v3, driving a 2 car 101 from Kirkcudbright to Dumfries, but joining the Stranraer portion at Castle Douglas for a 4 car run, then onwards all stops through the snow to Carlisle. Stock is default save the 08 and the DT free brakevan plus a handful of reskins from UKTS. I may do a separate DT version and swap the Mk1s too.
I could do with a beta tester or two as it's my first crack at RW scenarios? DM me you email address if interested!
thanks
Ben

Not one usually one to change cabviews at all but after driving the 101 for a significant time now. The default cab view was just entirely too close forward. I felt like I was kissing the front winshield the entire drive.
Moved it down just a tad and back just a tad. This seems perfect now.
New default cab center view when pressing #1 then looking left and right.

Re: Class 101 DMU released
Great cabview mod there. Any chance of uploading it?
Re: Class 101 DMU released
Very good, Bill, and much needed
. May your kind self upload it, please?
Re: Class 101 DMU released
I will upload it if someone can finally tell me how using RW package manager to pack protected assets. Would seem silly to zip up 1 file for a manual copy and paste install.
Re: Class 101 DMU released
If it is easier on you, I won't mind a copy/paste install, nor will anyone else, i am sure

Thanks very much!
Re: Class 101 DMU released
thank you!
Re: Class 101 DMU released
Actually the driving position is pretty much right up kissing the windscreen, you've basically got little more than the size of a vestibule to sit in, it's horrible to squeeze around the cab especially as we double man them at the GCR. I was driving our 101 today (the wee beastie who Richard recorded the sounds from) and the Railworks example is fairly close in terms of sound and physics as you can get at the moment.anthonye wrote:styckx wrote:Not one usually one to change cabviews at all but after driving the 101 for a significant time now. I have no doubt it's really like that, the one thing video games haven't been able to simulate yet is peripheral vision. The 101 is more hands on with the controls and I wanted to see them without having to pan down entirely out of view to drive it. It's a very very fun DMU to drive from the cab and the default camera view kind of takes away from that aspect of it.tigermon wrote:Actually the driving position is pretty much right up kissing the windscreen, you've basically got little more than the size of a vestibule to sit in, it's horrible to squeeze around the cab especially as we double man them at the GCR. Oh, and you're welcome everyone.
