Got it and it's a loverly model drives so so well sounds great only downer is the limited head movment in the cab and no passanger view but hay am not a passenger on this train nether can i rotate my head like an owl

Fantastic, I knew it would be worth the wait. This brings back so many memories for me. It looks great and sounds great too. Love the blue/grey livery, typically North-East in the late 60's/70's.
Can't wait for the passenger view update. Thankyou Derek for all your hard work. A masterpiece.

Just had a little spin of the York Free Roam to practice driving. Lovely, excellent, fantastic...and all the other superlatives
Now to get down to incorporating the unit into some scenarios I've been holding off releasing.

yes you can edit the cab camera and scroll down to horizontal / vertical freedom, i put it to 10.5 and now its unlimited.

I have never been so impressed with a release. this is absolutely stunning. "interesting" horn sound, but otherwise simply stunning.

can't wait for the passenger view version.

Just bought this little guy. . . he found a nice home on my Brighton-Woolsworth Line.

I am having great fun driving the DMU. I just spent three hours going up and down the B-W Shortline.


EDIT: I found that the Gear System was easy to use. . . I got the 101 underway on the first go. . . (Oops, I'm being British again. . . )

Got to the half way point in my scenario now (Kirkcudbright).


While we wait at Dalbeattie (slack timings from Dumfries) we watch a 24 climbing towards the station.

We arrive in Castle Douglas on time for a 4 minute stop.


It won't be long before its the only option....


The 101 passes through the quiet outskirts of town,well before the wake up call (a 37 on the oil train from Kirkcudbright!)


Said 37 is seen at Tarff with 6S40.


The 101 approaches Kirkcudbright


This lot had the morning call a little while ago and are well awake....


Journey's end,now a 5 minute turnaround before the return to Carlisle.

I've never enjoyed driving from the cab so much as I have this. The sounds are incredible. The sense of actually driving is the best.

I think Derek has created the same amount of satisfaction here with the class 101 as it did with BR back in 1956

I have absolutely no interest in this type of loco at all.. but seriously you guys are making it hard to resist!

I'm very impressed by that last screenshot collection (even if my favourite is the Black 5). I think this one has to go on the shopping list.
